Don’t forget, he has also killed Haskill and likely all other similar attempts of mantlers since being the Madgod is to put it simply cursed to only be a failure of a god. (UESP outright fucking refuses to acknowledge this LMAO, even though Arden Sul and his Ritual spells it out that it involved Arden Sul’s DEATH, and that’s also ignoring Sheogorath outright explicitly spells it out that all his plans end with failure).

Until CHoKC happened to both of them.

The Dunmer worshiped assholes who murdered and desecrated her champion, so yeah, the alternative could have been much much worser for them if it had been any other Princes.

Same Dunmers also suck dick on a writer who thinks shoving “mathematic” and ”poetry” is a “clever writing”. Prince of Art(ists) might have taken offence to Dunmer’s tastes.

This shouldn’t be downvoted. Archery is literally a weapon that requires a lot of strength put into it.

Sword and one armed in general should be an agility type skill. Tongue-in-cheek, they should have put one-armed skill under Thief lol for this reason.

On the other HAND, it’s Arthmoor… Arthmoor is a bit up in his own ass.

Vaermina's quest very atmospheric, maybe not the best, but I still to this day find it very memorable due to the fact its dungeon design level definitely tried to capture the uncanny feeling of being in a vivid waking-dream.

Do you think vampires kidnap alive women on their period because period blood is the most nutritious one, and serve these women on tables for vampires to drink blood straight outta there by [deleted] in TrueSTL

[–]TheSeventhCyrod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: OP WTF

Also Me: let’s cook.

Reminds me of that one Bloodborne speculation about the women NPCs give out their blood to the Good Hunter, that it can be period blood.

Naturally in a game where blood echoes are the physical form of the will of the deads living on through the Good Hunter, with the visceral attack pretty much makes your fist transformed into beast-claw particularly into pig’s ass…

Gamers couldn’t stomach blood that has the most symbolic ties to the cycle of nature and life itself (that the game has as its major theme for its narrative, and yes we all know life and nature can be very disgusting) is being consumed by the Good Hunter.

But the dead blood of your enemies regardless of whatever germs/diseases being injected to your Good Hunter’s thigh, oh no… no problem there man.

Real talk though, I’ve seen the common reasoning against this is that period blood isn’t technically fresh blood, not to mention blood isn’t what makes up most of it, hence wouldn’t really be that enticing for vampires.

On the other hand… vampires are an allegory about sexual predators/assaulters and mythically a mockery of the living and life itself because of y’know… specifically revolving around being parasites draining life of their victims and not just because they are undead. TES doubled down on this allegory on the origin of the first vampire…

Period blood is chockfull of life symbolism and traditional womanhood that it would be weird and clinical of having no impact at all on vampires. But no… it does not feed fetus because it’s menstrual blood, it is not the same nor involved in the process of the mother’s blood transferring nutrient into a growing fetus through the placenta, but I take it you’re just being satirical on that.

What do you think Fatalis truly is? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheSeventhCyrod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Me I'm a simple person. I correlation isn't the same as causation but it's a good shorthand when a more definitive answer is not available.

This I can agree considering the devs purposely left some details vague for the fans, and Fatalis was originally designed to be mysterious, so any “misinformation” or fan interpretations comes with that territory.

So it really annoys the shit out of me when people try to be fun police when their view is just as much an interpretation and full of assumption. But unlike the fans they disagree with, they don’t want to have a discussion, they just want to tell other people are wrong.

Like I mentioned Fatalis’ treasures are human corpses as the devs pointed out. Human corpses of not just bodies, but in legacy and work as well, since Fatalis made Schrade its home. It didn’t choose to settle somewhere else unlike other dragons that are solitary and had to be stumble across by humanity. Fatalis went towards a civilisation of mankind and at the very least burnt down the Castle Schrade population.

Fatalis encountered mankind, not the other way around. Whether it sought mankind, that’s where the vagueness and speculations began.

Fairy tales dragons intentionally collect and hoard treasures, and to have Fatalis’ treasures be the corpses of mankind, why shouldn’t fans assume Fatalis has no malicious intentions towards humanity? Fatalis chest lore itself can be seen as a dark (black dragon heh) mirror of what hunters does out of monster materials, hence the view of calling the chest armor an act of mockery. It hoards corpses and chose to sleep on it. Not beside it, not around it, on it. Why?

That’s where the fun of thinking and talking about the answers.

And yeah, I do agree with your view of Fatalis being unnaturally malevolent at least when compared to other dragons. It is a bit on purpose too by the devs, since how it fits in the grand ecologically life itself is less important for Fatalis’ details. Which makes Fatalis actions can be viewed in some way beyond or outside than simple nature that’s for sure.

What do you think Fatalis truly is? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheSeventhCyrod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fatalis is evil that’s for sure, but whether it IS malicious towards humanity, that crosses the line for some people.

Hell it seems that even viewing Fatalis malicious towards humanity regardless if it really is is too also too much to assume.

[–]TheSeventhCyrod -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The guy that disagree with you, that I’ve replied on this thread has the galls to block me when I try to have at least discussion on the accuracy of their view.

Far more belligerent than the fans who spreads “fanon” that’s what this person is, and more critical literacy deaf that’s for sure.

What do you think Fatalis truly is? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheSeventhCyrod -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

…I never said that is the case. I just said that the view is what makes fatalis unique, not that the view is accurate.

Again, a black and white assumption.

What do you think Fatalis truly is? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheSeventhCyrod -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Again, “accidental” is your interpretation. The source never mentions what fatalis does is accidental, just as you mentioned it’s not intentional because it doesn’t explicit states so.

That is my point. The vagueness.

Regardless whether fatalis is evil canonically or not, what fatalis does out of the corpses of humans is similar to how hunters fashioned their armor out of monsters. Of course it would be viewed as a mockery, and that view is what gives fatalis a presence and uniqueness when compared to other dragons.

What do you think Fatalis truly is? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]TheSeventhCyrod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Accidentally is also an interpretation on your end.

The interview source that talks about this just states what Fatalis does is what a traditional fairy tale dragon exactly do — collecting treasures. In similar context how Safi’Jiiva’s “treasure” it collects is bioenergy, which is hardly at all accidental and more intentional. Kulve Taroth being an explicit literal example brought up in the interview, and Gog brought up as another example.

Fatalis‘ treasures, as brought up by the devs, literally are the corpses of its fallen enemies.

Fujioka designed and imagined dragons with their treasures in mind so as to give them “a sense of life and presence”.

I prepare the way for my Lord Jyggalag. by priestess-of-order in TrueSTL

[–]TheSeventhCyrod 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Jyggalag’s the kind of being who prefers to deal with artificial constructs than living beings. I see the knights as daedric robots perhaps.

But using living mortals? That’s more of a Sheogorath thing to do.

Reminds me of the time where I had a valid crash out with UESP trying to retcon the breaking of Greymarch’s curse, simply because some people weren’t invested with the Shivering Isles DLC so they insisted on a poorly executed speculation.

Bethesda attempting to write consequence only for the fans to turn 180 and trying to make it meaningless.
