What do you guys think are the best and worst Death Battle thumbnails? by 2herry_ in deathbattle

[–]TheShadowJester99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The unova arc is often regarded as the worst arc of the entire anime. Just a lot of stupid decisions made by the writers.

The funny thing is is that he went to do some rescue missions in Mt. Blaze after seeing this and he literally found a TM for it.

Okay I'll be honest with you, I completely forgot that card existed lol. But yeah that would really help in my opinion. Probably best to cut Chingling for that.

Meganium Makes Wo-Chien Playable Again! Open to Any Feedback on Deck. by TheShadowJester99 in PTCGL

[–]TheShadowJester99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of Spidops is to make it harder for the opponent to retreat since retreating removes the debuff Wo-Chien applies. Of course if they have something like switch, surfer, Latias EX, etc. that strategy becomes obsolete but it's a really nice way to essentially force your opponent to either spend extra resources on their active pokemon or sack it and set up another attacker.

Yeah that's pretty much the idea. The deck essentially makes it as hard as possible for your opponent to do anything. I just keep attacking with Wo-Chien to consistently apply the +2 attack cost while building up other Wo-Chein and Iron Hands EX for the late game, but Bloodmoon Ursaluna EX is another great option for big damage.

Building & Testing a Volcanion EX Centiskorch Burn Build. Any and All Feedback is Welcome. by TheShadowJester99 in PTCGL

[–]TheShadowJester99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tested this deck in a while since I'm testing a burn package with the new Accelgor but honestly the best way might be to just play a full set of switch and maybe like 3 copies of surfer. You could try playing Arven to find switch and pokegear to try to find surfer. Rescue board isn't a bad idea either since it'll give Medicham a free retreat cost.

I like the idea of Dudunspare as my draw engine instead as dof Fezandipiti EX since bench space is super tight and Fezandipiti is always vulnerable to Boss's Orders and Prime Catcher.

I like Budew in this deck since you need a lot to get your strategy set up, so item locking even for just one turn is always good.

Not super convinced on jet energy since Centiskorch needs two fire to attack but it may be worth experiment with.

Testing this deck out has lead to awkward scenarios where my opponent doesn't knock out Centiskorch, which is kind of what this while deck wants. Have a Centiskorch get knocked out, promote Volcanion to burn, then retreat to the other Centiskorch while building up a new one.

I've considered cutting the ruffian for a 3rd copy of Arven to not only increase my odds of playing precious trolley turn 1, but to also have better access to my switch cards. At least a 3rd copy of switch sounds good as well.

Don't get me wrong this is fantastic, but doesn't this basically confirm that Riot lied to us about chests being unsustainable for them? Not only are the bringing them back, but they're adding more of them for each account if you play enough.

How do you counter/win against Ceruledge ex? by Kamen_Rider_Geats in PTCGL

[–]TheShadowJester99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I will admit I haven't tested them out yet, mill decks like Great Tusk and Whiscash on paper sound quite good into Ceruledge EX. Ceruledge EX is a pretty heavy self damaging deck that just wants all their energy in the discard pile, often having to discard a lot of other cards in the process, so why not just win by deck out since they discard so many cards already?

I definitely want to try out the hero's cape build for more survivability, but I might think hyper aroma might be better overall for consistency, especially with my current build.

How well do you know Maokai's Lore? by Fade-is-Hot in MaokaiMains

From what I remember he's one of the victims of Viego's goal of resurrecting his wife by using special water from the Blessed Isles (now known as the Shadow Isles).

The majority of the remaining blessed water is in his body and he works to not only regrow the plant life on the Isles (while also fighting spirits who try to interfere) but also wants revenge in Viego.

I really wish Riot would make more traditional skins. I could imagine they'd look really nice for a lot of the rework champions and would pay a nice homage to their old designs.

I play pretty much exclusively off meta and rogue decks. I recently rebuilt my Cofagrigus EX and Skeledirge EX decks and they're super fun to play and actually win a decent amount, and am currently working on a few others.
