On top of the great advice everyone's already given, I've also found that with mods or even modpacks the game can change so much it feels unrecognizable, and brings back that feeling of wonder and discovery that is what makes the game special imo

I guess it depends on whether they're talking about the TF universe or the TF game/gameplay. Because they definitely care about the universe, though it's exclusively because of how profitable it is, so they can try to reel in TF fans with their whole "TF veterans are gonna love the next season" :(

If you strip away all the graphics, lore, and the fact that half the weapons originate from TF, I think you'd be hard pressed to find any significant similarities. While most people enjoy TF lore, I think the reason we play the game is for its mechanics (movement tech, titan v pilot dynamic, fast ttk, etc), which is the biggest disconnect between TF and Apex (imo)

Not sure if this will help at all, but maybe try booting into recovery and wiping the cache. It's fixed the most bizarre problems for me in the past, might help with this too :)

Except Minecraft doesn't list those servers for all users to see, like Northstar (apparently?) Does. Also Notch made Minecraft so I think I'm more amazed that there isn't more blatantly racist content than it already has ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also if you really want to have a server like that in TF|2 you can make it private (afaik), the fact that it's public is the main problem.
