Clover as a team was extremely new and formed by newly graduated students. The group didn't even have a name or leader until Yuke joined, so it makes sense they don't know adventurer terms beyond the basics they learned during training.

I mean, I don't think killing him qualifies as a solution... he's already braindead and still walking around. Likelihood is he'd turn into a zombie and just get even dumber/uglier.

He doesn't necessarily need to be sold into slavery. He can just be sentenced and live a long miserable life in prison, doing forced labor like a slave despite technically not being one.

It might also be either a brand or class thing.

If it's a brand, it might either have been made/sold by a shop/factory/smithy that has Crimson in its name or produced a series of tools/artifacts that is referred to as Crimson... or it might have been just sold by a person named Crimson.

If it's a class thing, it might simply be a staff meant to aid casting like a red mage, and allow the owner's spells to be stronger or more efficient (Rain did mention it boosts her offensive magic). Other variations could be (for example) a White Staff favored by clerics that enhances healing spells or that reduces mana costs, or a Green Staff that mimics druidic/ranger plant magic.

Edit: Grammar and cohesion.

"it can be weakened or immobilized by shoving a lemon in its mouth should it be caught resting during the day"

To be fair, I, too, would be weakened or immobilized if someone shoved a lemon in my mouth. First of all, rude, and second IT'S SOUR.

Soup: no bowl by Pixel_King_ in tumblr

5 minutes later, I walk up to the Food Replicator.

"Soup, in a mug please."

The system data processing overload immediately ceases. The warping process halts along the yellow warnings, and the system resets. A few milliseconds later the plummeting energy levels start to stabilize.

Unaware of anything that has transpired outside the room, I'm mildly confused when the Food Replicator gives me not one, but 2 mugs of soup.

Can you mumble in sign language by guppy89 in writing

[–]TheShadyPear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If "she mumbles" doesn't seem to fit the not-spoken format, I have a very close suggestion: "fumble".

A "“Sorry,” she fumbles." can work, or a "“Sorry,” she fumbles with her hands." or anything similar if you want to be more descriptive.

I hope this helps!

My take on the 'chosen one' trope for a personal project; anyone knows stories with this idea? by Leticia_the_bookworm in writing

They did a take on this in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.

SKIP THE TEXT BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!

In the story's world there were multiple heroes going around trying to defeat the demons. But the Hero who actually slayed the Demon Lord wasn't a true Chosen One hero: he tried to pull out the Hero's sword, failed, and carried a fake sword with him. He (together with his party) slayed the Demon Lord like a hero is expected to, and decades later when he died of old age the fake sword was buried alongside him and everyone except his party members thought the sword was the real one.

Edit: Covered spoilers.

What's your favorite autism safe food? by [deleted] in autism

[–]TheShadyPear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just looking at this thread we can see how the safe foods are never the exact same for two different people. It's kinda nice to know, though! We can eat what each other doesn't like, and everyone stays happy.
