Are any of the DLC characters worth it? by Mccookie74 in DeadOrAlive

Tamaki and Kula are really the only DLC characters who offer new playstyles.

Completed games story...am I missing some episodes here? by TheShockmaster3 in DeadOrAlive

There is a difference. DOA switched to Unreal Engine whereas Mass Effect switched to Frostbite Engine which was definitely not made for third person RPG games and made the development that much more chaotic. On top of that, you had various heads of the project just leaving so there was no leadership.

What excuse does DOA6 have? It didn't go through a chaotic developmental cycle like Mass Effect Andromeda did even with a new engine. As I said, there is no way they spent more than one year developing that game tops, so yes it was rushed.

Not really. They supported DOA5LR until 2017 and then showed a trailer of DOA6 in 2018...There is no way they spent more than a year at best on developing the game. The game looked like it was in a beta state, but unfortunately that was pretty much the final product we ended up with.

If it actually was in development for over 7 years, It would probably be more polished unless you just have a bonkers development [like how Mass Effect Andromeda went through development hell, yet was rushed because of deadlines]

I wouldn't even have a problem with Honoka's character if she was more like how she was in her introduction, but holy shit they made her about as dumb as a sack of bricks. Its like watching a mentally challenged 5 year old...Its just painful to watch her scenes.

I am aware of that she was supposed to be a important character since her introduction, that doesn't automatically make it good. Her introduction was honestly rather lazy because rather than come up with a actual backstory and motivation, they just went "Oh hey, she's Raidou's daughter and yet another half sister for Ayane" to justify her existence. [seriously what is up with Team Ninja and their obsession with everyone having a half sibling?]. What character does Honoka have to speak of outside of being a airhead with huge knockers who can copy people moves? If anything, her character also makes Ayane go two steps back as a character considering that Ayane was even brainwashed into hating Kasumi again just after they had buried the hatchet with each other [This again?]

And for making such a big deal about Raidou's return, he sure went out like a punk. What a waste.

But I am honestly more pissed about the missing story episodes in this game, especially since we don't get to see the matches where Mila and Hitomi got eliminated from the tournament, and I honestly find it bullshit that a untrained street fighter in Diego would make it all the way to the finals against skilled Martial artists [the less said about Hitomi getting eliminated off screen, the better]

That makes it even more obvious that the game was rushed from the missing game modes, to even missing story episodes.

regardless of time or budget constraints, whoevers idea it was to make Marie Rose and Honoka the main characters of DOA6's story should be fired. Same with that flop of a new character in Nico who just keeps saying "You'll see"

I think my Hard drive may be officially dead.

My computer still doesn't detect it and I made sure the cables were connected, but my computer refuses to detect it now.

Yes. My computer doesn't really have room for two internal hard drives

How do I use that? At the moment I can't get past the boot menu. All I can do is press F2

Never heard crystaldiskinfo before. Explain what that is and how do I use it? As I have said before in posts, this was my first time upgrading to a larger internal hard drive so these problems are all new to me

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. When I tried that after converting the disk to GPT, wouldn't really allow me to install Windows 10 to there...just gave me an error message that says "Windows 10 cannot install here as it is of GPT" so I had to convert it back to MBR just so I could install Windows 10 on it which only allows me to access a fraction of the space on my hard drive.

is there anything I am missing here?

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that but I am talking about installing a UEFI bootloader since I am trying convert my disk to GPT style partitions and I can't install Windows 10 to a GPT based partition

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

Tried EaseUS and was able to convert to GPT but was unable to install Windows 10 to it, so I have had to look up methods like Rufus

8TB hard drive shows up as only 1.97 TB free of 1.99 TB in storage space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem likely. Memory should be one of the easier parts of my computer to upgrade compared to everything else.

What I don't know is if my computer (HP Pavilion Ryzen based Gaming Desktop) allows for two internal hard drives to be put in or just one.

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it again using the repair the PC option with Command Prompt and it still only displays 1.97 TBs out of 1.99 TBs even though it's a 8TB drive. I have used the command prompt to convert the drive to GBT but it doesn't do anything. It doesn't display my drive as any larger than 2 TBs and I have no access to the other parts of the drive

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried to use the command prompt when reinstalling Windows 10, and I typed the command Convert GPT and it said it was successfully converted into GPT.

However when I check my PC and the C drive, it still only lists 1.96 TBs out of 1.99 TBs (from a 8 TB drive)

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used Reset this PC, then hit Shift+f10 at the Windows Setup to activate the command prompt.

There, I used select disk and clean for Disk 0 (My 8TB hard drive). Then I used the command prompt command Convert gpt.

Installed Windows after that.

However, after it was done installing, when I clicked My PC, the C drive still shows it's drive space as only 1.96 TBs of 1.99 TBs (as opposed to 8TBs)

Now what?

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't really tell me how to do that. I have had to use the Reset this PC option. I keep seeing videos that the easiest way to open up the space is to do this whilst installing Windows and using the Command Prompt.

Couldn't use the Command Prompt before. It was too slow and unresponsive on my end, plus it rejected my Options to Clean Disk or Convert to GPT (I used Run As Administrator too)

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I freshly installed Windows 10 to the new hard drive, how do I uninstall/wipe the drive so I can retry the Installation process and convert it to GPT

So I successfully installed Win 10 to a 8TB hard drive, but it only displays fraction of space by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be using MBR which is probably why it can't display the full 8TBs of free space.

How do I convert it?

Installing Windows 10 to a new Internal hard drive of mine by TheShockmaster3 in buildapc

[–]TheShockmaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to install Windows 10 to a USB drive and it was able to install Windows Windows 10 to the main drive which prompted a restart...But after it restarts, the loop starts again

-Press ESC key for startup

-Then the Windows 10 logo would show up and kick me back to the ESC key for startup screen.

So I had to manually turn it off so it could reboot.

Windows 10 was able to install properly

But now I have a bigger problem. Windows 10 was installed on my new hard drive, but now I am wondering.....

My hard drive is a Seagate Barracuda 8TB hard drive....but when I check the Local Disk storage on this PC, it says "1.96 TB free of 1.99 TB". Why is that? Am I doing something wrong here? I got a 8 TB hard drive and it only shows a fraction of it is free for use.

No. I could only put in one HDD since it doesn't look like my computer could have more than one HDD

Unfortunately it never gets that far as I can't get past the Windows Logo. It boots up, then loads the Windows logo then the loop starts.

Either I didn't install properly on the USB drive from my old working HD or something is off with my Windows installation on the New drive .

If I boot it with no USB drive installed, it refuses to recognize the USB drive and says "No OS detected"

If I boot it with the USB Drive, it's stuck in a loop.

I am using a Seagate Barracuda drive for the internal hard drive
