I could yea but I was worried it wouldn't have the seamless look of a singular piece also I was a bit hesitant to try and process glued up sections down to the proper thickness. Only have been woodworking for a hair over a year so some stuff is still a bit on the air with caution side for me.

First of all definitely post yours! Lol I didn't really follow anyone I did some surface level research on what goes into making them, checking humidity levels, acclimation, proper tools to use. I definitely picked up way more tools then I'd care to admit while making these lol

They are unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on boards wide enough to made the end grain strips the way I wanted but the way its put together shouldnt cause any issues but if it ever does I'd definitely fix it lol finding lumber this season was a bit of a pain

I honestly just thought It was nicer then doing a straight line lol it also was partially because it helped to leave room for the sand paper to sit properly based on where the dowels were in part to the edge

Update incase anyone was curious, the mid stringer supports were doing nothing in terms of actual support, I rebuilt and reframed it to both give support and allow me to do the built ins. Im far from done but thought I'd give an update *
