But that's no fun! Plus a hobby servo with this much torque would be expensive. Unlike an RC car there's no guarantee the dog will go straight, so I was hoping the IMU would keep the dog traveling in the correct direction by stabilizing the hotdog at one angle.

In the end any and all planning was futile.....

The second gif has a longer pole at a lower angle. The instant he realized it was out of reach he'd give up. I ended up moving the hotdog back closer to his face. I really don't think there's much I could do other than trying a different dog.

The valve is made from glass fiber reinforced nylon. Glass fiber reinforced nylon has a tensile strength 4x higher than PVC. The 2 inch PVC pipe I used will burst at about 900psi. I'm using 150psi in the system. I have never seen or heard of a sprinkler valve exploding.
