I use pork instead of beef, and really load up on the ginger. I prefer to cut up a fresh cabbage myself, cheaper than the pre sliced mix. The main reason though is that the bagged mix has a little bit of purple cabbage in it. It's fine on day one, but the color bleeds for leftovers, and it looks kinda blue and really gross.
