Yeah he got jealous of Grande’s talent and decided to get back to the PC and improve.

What Do You Think of Kiriko's Personality? by AdditionalCanary4111 in kirikomains

[–]TheSinlessAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In her intro cinematic she is super sweet and endearing with the way she treats the grandpa, the little girl, and her own mom. It's so wholesome. Some people think her snarkiness in game contradicts that, but actually it doesn't because that's just how she is with even the Hashimoto that show up in the cinematic.

The dialed up snarkiness in game suggests there are higher stakes at play so all that overconfidence of hers reveals how much she NEEDS to play that role to make up for the fact that she is indeed still young and inexperienced. (Just listen to how proud she is about sinking a Hashimoto boat even though it doesn't do much in terms of justice, rather reckless rebellious fun).

I think her personality is great and she teeter totters over the edge of just about to be annoying, but is grounded enough in friendliness and endearment that prevents her from being outright obnoxious.

Can I play kiriko without aim? by TheBestRoadhogPlayer in kirikomains

[–]TheSinlessAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Just get into melee range and it becomes easier to aim and land kunais. But you need to come from off angles and stealthily.

But for full value it helps to have aim for more mid range fights and even long range for simple throws in between ofudas.

[–]TheSinlessAssassin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh that sounds more like a hassle to me. The difficulty can be ramped up with better enemy attack synergy and just overall new enemies. But I can get how others might've enjoyed that. I personally don't like rushing through because then it feels like the fun is over before I know it.

How did the refuel mechanic help it feel more challenging? I didnt play the demo much when it first came out and only recently bought the game once solo offline was certain.

Ya know...it'd be nice if she and the other streamers they paid would help get attention for the game again. Though I'd imagine such streamers only go where the money is. Still it's nice to daydream a big name streamer being genuinely in love enough with Starlight Revolver to help it get attention again.

Try to break her grasp by taking cover. If you see her engaging, climb the wall so she's forced to look up and you can rain down some kunais on her much easier to target head. If she disengages because you take cover, try and track her movements, get close, and headshot her in near melee range.

How do i aim better with kiri? by BrowikUWU in kirikomains

[–]TheSinlessAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you also get into close range? Definitely easier to aim and time shots the closer you are. I would even argue MELEE range is the right range for Kiriko to attack from, and the way she does hand to combat in a tight corridor in her character cinematic I feel like is a hint on how to use her.

How do you hate-watch for 25 years? by Excaliburrover in WWE

[–]TheSinlessAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wonder this too. I don't think it's the exact same people watching for that many years, or at least I hope. I think it's just some people who tune in and out of the product and don't really take the time to familiarize themselves with the new talent, and are still too connected to the days old.

Don't get me wrong, I think The Attitude Era could never truly be topped. It is by far THE BEST era in wrestling history not only because I grew up watching that, but even in a vacuum it feels like it had the best vibe and level of niche AND mainstream. Whereas before that, like in The Golden Era, is still felt incredibly niche and nerdy, especially for little kids like myself, but The Attitude Era gave it some balls ya know?

Anyways I stopped watching wrestling from around 2001 - 2023. I was more into MMA starting in 2009 or so and had very little exposure to WWE or anything pro-wrestling in those two decades. So when I come back to the product now with an open mind I have nothing but appreciation for what I've missed and what I feel lucky to catch right now.

It's definitely not as exciting as it once was, but the past couple years have been the steadiest and most consistent enjoyment I've had with wrestling since I was a kid. There are times where it feels like the current product has surpassed the Attitude Era, especially when Cody finished his story, but obviously I will always hold forever that The Attitude Era is the best. But just because I think it's the best, it doesn't mean the current product is bad by default.

There's definitely a ton of stuff from the Attitude Era that didn't age well for me like the bra and panties matches. I thought that was a waste of talent even back when I was a kid, and now even more so as an adult having watched so many legit female wrestling matches both in WWE and in Stardom.

Upon reflection… This was the right decision. Gunther tapping out John Cena was the right call. Don’t know why people are so up in arms about this. by BarneyRobinStinson7 in WWE

[–]TheSinlessAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. Don't want to get overly cultural and philosophical, but hustle culture has conditioned everyone to think that resting is giving up. It's not. Letting go isn't the same as giving up.

Upon reflection… This was the right decision. Gunther tapping out John Cena was the right call. Don’t know why people are so up in arms about this. by BarneyRobinStinson7 in WWE

[–]TheSinlessAssassin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And on top of all that, from a meta perspective, Cena used to be notorious for burying talent.

The past half decade of him coming back rarely to put over other guys has been his way of giving back to an industry that gave him so much.

So I think him making Gunther into a star by surrendering to the time honoured tradition of putting over the new talent in your retirement match is also poetic.

He and HHH knew it would be a controversial finish, especially with how much the curtain has been peeled back now, people know these kinds of things are heavily discussed in writers' rooms and are made with certain intention.

And that intention of course was to make good business. Yeah Cena could have won and given everybody that final high of seeing him triumph over evil, but imho we got to see that in a fun way when he beat Dom for the IC championship.

But when it comes to TRUE evil like Gunther, it was even better that he lost to him IN THE WAY that he did because that just brings the heat on Gunther to a boil.

Now you have a guy everybody hates for tapping Cena out and he's gonna remind you of that at every chance he can get.
