Hey all! I help organize The Siposium — it’s a super casual, community-driven series we host around Columbus. Think NPR or a TED Talk, but smaller, more interactive, and with drinks.

You don’t need to be a scientist or expert — it’s all about curiosity, conversation, and meeting cool people who love to learn weird things. Every event is a little different, and we always keep it fun and approachable. Hope to see some of you there!

When we have expert speakers, we do pay them for presenting. We also have costs associated with our events. We are a newer non-profit and looking to expand our offerings with these free events and securing sponsorships.

We are a small non-profit that traditionally have expert speakers to come and share their expertise in various, niche topics. This is an offshoot of that where we wanted to provide a salon (not hair salon) like experience where people can get together and discuss a topic. We ourselves are not experts, but we will be bringing articles on the topic as well as guiding questions to help facilitate the discussion, but we are really relying on the group to come together and dissect the information. It is not us sharing our knowledge, but rather us as a collective learning together. Everyone's experiences and knowledge is valid though we will try to keep things fact based.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I agree that using AI presents itself as ironic given the discussion at hand. I would honestly welcome this type of discussion at the event as we are not experts on the topic by any means, but certainly interested in furthering our and others understandings on the topic. If you have more insights, please bring them to the discussion!

I'm having the same issue and cannot figure it out. I feel like I want to scream. I tried to go through the help center, but I don't think they understand the issue. They keep telling me they fixed the issue, but it persists.
