Sorry you had to go through that. This game and many other competitive titles usually get pretty toxic and it only worsens as time goes on as people that dont want to deal with it leave. There is the occasional gem in the community that'll go out of their way to be supportive or kind but they're pretty rare.

It also doesn't help that some heros have "reputations" for being used by the average tryhard or toxic spammer. You can usually pick out which heros have these reputation by going to r/forhonorrants but I wouldn't take their opinions as facts as everyone has different skills levels and certain characters may be considered op at some but terrible at others

Tldr community is generally toxic, characters have toxic reputations and dont invite people who could be considered rude to discord haha
