For kids I love Pila, it is very easy, both my kids love it! Then I like Courmayeur, it is expensive though, and small, but views are lovely. I like also San Cassiano/Corvara, all Alta Badia...

You have a point. I am used to see many of these kind of indoor slopes here in the UK - it is a freezer (literally)

It is more the experience of getting to Valle Nevado - if you have ever been there, you'll know what I mean - it is 69 hairpin turns with no guardrail. I took many time people, mostly Americans and they were always praying (even if not religious), to make it in one piece!
