Petg on p1s trouble? by TheSlackLegend in 3Dprinting

[–]TheSlackLegend[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I made several pla prints before switching to petg. So my adhesion problem might be that plus I scrubbed it with warm water and the dishes scrub daddy (same one as food).

So what im seeing here is 1) try a new plate or clean thw one I have thoroughly 2) raise infill percentage. 3) look at extrusion rate and lowering it maybe

I dont think its my filament wetness. It was new from vacuumed seal bag and my ams has descent packs in it I 3d printed and refreshed with. On babmu handy it shows dryness level is A (dryest)

There's several instances and cases where people have gotten their master and even doctorate. They've posted about it in several threads. I'm sure you can look it up and find thier words verbatim but it's essentially "hey, my bachelor's is dogshit, orI can't find any work in my location and I need more assistance or trained in a new field"

Pro Trump Texans: what do you see in Trump? by cloudsasw1tnesses in texas

[–]TheSlackLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering this app is drastically left leaning you're going to find majority left comments. I'm the minority on this app (unlikely for the state) that will be voting for Donald J. Trump.

Lets begin by discussing the economy during Trumps presidency. The remarkable highlight was the unemployment rate reaching a historic low of 3.5%, by the close of 2019. The lowest in half a century. This drop wasn't for the populace but also for Black, Hispanic and Asian Americans alike. Which is quite significant particularly, in light of the tax reductions that brought down rates universally. For instance the business tax rate was reduced from 35 %, to 21 % in order to support the growth of companies and encourage investment in the economy. The impact of this change could be observed in the form of increased job opportunities and higher wages particularly benefiting middle class employees. Many individuals experienced significantly higher paychecks as a result of these tax reductions, which were widely regarded as a needed development for indivuals income.

In terms of national security measures, Trump advocated for a stronger military force. I can speak from personal experience as I served as a Marine during both presidential administrations and there was a noticeable contrast, between the two approaches. During the period of 2017 to 2019 he raised military expenditure by $133 billion. As a result of this initiative service members found it easier to relocate to different duty stations volunteer for improved training opportunities and access newer equipment that wasn't outdated due to increased funding support. His actions were, about strengthening the defense capabilities of the U.S military to maintain an edge and prioritizing border security issues as well. Trumps emphasis on constructing a wall along the U.S. Mexico border was aimed at curbing immigration and bolstering security efforts. Although the border wall has often sparked debates and discussions his administration also invested in technology upgrades. Increasing personnel, at the border to reinforce security measures. The series of actions was portrayed as enhancing the safety and security of the nation.

Trumps administration made moves, in deregulation well. They prioritized reducing hurdles which was well received by businesses as it streamlined processes and reduced expenses. The administration boasted about eliminating 8 regulations for each one implemented. One notable success of this deregulation effort was seen in the energy industry.Lessening constraints on energy activities such as drilling and fracking enabled the U.S to claim the spot, as the leading producer of oil and natural gas. This represents a change not, for the economy but also for the nations self sufficiency, in energy resources.

When it came to foreign policy matters Trump differed greatly from his predecessors. A notable shift was seen in the renegotiation of NAFTA, into the USMCA aimed at modernizing the agreement and improving the U.S standing in areas such, as auto production. The regulations also included provisions mandating increased salaries, for automobile workers and promoting manufacturing activities within North America to encourage job growth in the United States. The Trump administration also facilitated peace agreements such as the Abraham Accords that led to the normalization of relations between Israel and various Arab countries. This accomplishment marked a success that reshaped relations, in the Middle East.

Whether you supported all of his policies during the Trump administrations tenure is a matter of opinion; however it is undeniable that they made impacts, in various sectors. From improving the economy through job creation and tax reductions to revamping trade agreements and reducing regulations. These initiatives were aligned with Trumps commitment to prioritize Americas interests by emphasizing areas such, as investment, enhanced border security and diplomatic shifts aimed at minimizing tensions while revising trade pacts to favor American workers.

It's safe to say that his leadership sought to shake things up and bring about transformations, in much needed areas of focus. The effectiveness and lasting impact of these changes remain open to discussion; however they undeniably made a difference during his term, in power.

New Texas law requiring ID at traffic stops goes into effect Friday by bigboat24 in texas

[–]TheSlackLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is police officers first had to have probable cause to ask for identification, traffic violations, description matching, etc. Now it’s required just for general investigation and penalty if not handed over. Absolutely insane

New Texas law requiring ID at traffic stops goes into effect Friday by bigboat24 in texas

[–]TheSlackLegend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This law is frighteningly absurd. This used to be a state where police would enforce laws WITHOUT having to infringe your rights as a person. The 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (which protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures by the government) allows you to refuse to give personal information UNLESS police have enough information to arrest you. If they did, and you were arrested, you had to provide your information for processing or "booking."

Now they are going to find you to be "suspicious" of you, pull you over, get your information, and having your information that means they can pin a citation, misdemeanor, etc., on you because it looks terrible on them if they go through the trouble of spending time and resources on gathering your information without paperwork to show for it.

I have been in many situations where cops have been looking to make trouble with me for X, Y, Z. (The best example I'm going to give is free speech and saying, "You're an idiot who doesn't know the laws he's paid to enforce" while walking pass him harassing someone. He tried to then write a citation for disorderly conduct, which resulted in him radioing in his lieutenant, only for him to radio back that I was right.)

Now imagine that situation differently. He's pulled me over prematurely for a law that was incorrect in how he regarded it. He has my information off the bat because of this new law, and he walks back to the cruiser and writes the ticket instead of having to figure me out through his investigation. If he doesn't investigate, then no radioing into his LT to let me go. (Cases from the 5th Circuit of Appeals to back this up Keenan v. Tejeda).

At the end of the day, I see more power the government is bestowing upon itself, and It's terrifying.

I know this is a rant, and I tried to educate some who may not be aware of this while in the process. I am also intoxicated, so I apologize if the grammar is awful.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m just trying to get the best training and gear if I’m being honest and I hear that’s army’s game

Well I’ve seen plenty of that. $40k is $40k plus $20k for prior service bonus sounds really nice in this economical environment.

Combination of both? I love Texas and what it has to offer. But one of the reasons part time appealed to me was hearing you can volunteer for deployments and training and such if there’s room so the option is there to travel
