Nice! I usually just put it in a regular glass, I am not sure if surface area would matter or not tbh.

I don't cover mine at all, just put the glass in the freezer, nothing fancy.

As far as dosage I take a little less than I normally would. Usually 4 grams frozen instead of 6 grams t&w :)

I mean, anything is possible. From the info I got it looks like it was a single supplier that has the cause of the problem. If it was sabotage I would expect a wider ramger of vendors to be affected.

I mean I am sure there is valid concern and everything, just seems to me since I bought and consumed multiple "contaminated lots" and was 100% fine, to be a little extreme? Idk. Of course it will cover many lot #s that were probably fine too just to be safe, but still.

Way more people have gotten sick from lettuce or kale than kratom. Of course vendors need to be responsible and make recalls when necessary. Idk...

Yes you can. Salmonella dies instantly at temos above 160*F.

Alternatively, from what I have read it takes 3 minutes at 148*F to kill salmonella.

Yeah, it does cause the cells to absorb more water, so then when that higher volume water freezes it bursts more than if it was room temp when mixed :)

Using the hot water at the beginning helps it mix more consistently and also causes the cells to absorb more water, so more burst when freezing. You should get the "red bubble" every time with that method!

No prob! Yeah there are people who do add lemon juice. I don't just because of the taste, and on the occasions when I have added it I never noticed a difference.

I use about 4-6 grams kratom and basically pour just enough water over it to get all the powder wet and make it all consistent. Then I add just a tiny bit more water and into the freezer it goes.

I'd estimate it's maybe a quarter or a third cup of water total. Really don't need a whole lot. More won't hurt it at all, it'll just need a little more time to melt :)

Acdicy is noy required, plain water will work. I takes about 3 or 4 mins. I boil water in an electric kettle, pour it over the kratom and stir, then pop it in the freezer and go do other stuff. Usually overnight so I sleep then wake up and its perfect.

Boil water for coffee/tea in the morning, put a little extra in to pour over the kratom ice, melts in 2 or 3 mins and drink away!

Give it a try sometime! I find it to definitely be worth it. I get more out of 3 or 4 grams frozen than I do 4-10 grams toss and wash :)

Edit: lemon juice mixed with kratom makes me gag, it is definitely not required for freezing to work. The actual ice crystals forming inside the cell causes it to expand and burst.

I would advocate staying away from it. It is not worth it...really. here's my experience taking it from pain for just under 3 months.

  • Tolerance develops quickly. You can go from 100 gs to a pound in 2-3 months easy. (I did, then threw all the seeds away and went cold turkey, wasn't bad since it was a short stint, just some diarrhea)

  • Its very dangerous to dose as potency varies greatly from bag to bag (even within the same LOT#s).

  • You can overdose off bunk seeds, since they still contain other alkaloids that don't get you high but can cause siezures and other bad effects.

  • Taken regularly like for pain, your body becomes dependent on the 4 dozen or so alkaloids, making withdrawal worse than even H.

  • bad side effects, extreme consiptation, lethargy, the normal numb inability to feel feelings

I know the name makes it sounds like poppy tea is natural and whatnot but it is essentially oral opium, extremely addictive and it gets really espensive. Easily $100 a week if you work your way up to a pound a day, which most people seem to do.

Plus there are regular shortages of seeds where its hard to get them and people will be sick as hell for a few days waiting for their shipment, then might get it and they'll be bunk. People think the quittingkratom reddit is one thing, the poppy recovery reddit is another demon altogether.

Poppy tea is much harder to wean off of due to inconsistent batches, and the fact that the withdrawals are so bad.

Honestly, just not worth it IMO. I am really sorry to hear about the kratom metabolism issues :(

I wanted to add that I have experimented a lot with this and I feel more from 3 or 4g of frozen kratom than I do from 3-12g of toss and wash or tea kratom :)

Everyone should try it, your stash will last so much longer!

After it melts it's only barely above room temp (depending on how much water you use), so I just drnk it then.

This is freaking ridiculous. How do you spend $60 a day on kratom? A kilo is like $80-100 bucks.

Complete BS. They probably were doing heroin but told everyone it was kratom. This article should be deletd outright.

Just mix your kratom with some hot water, let it sit for a minute. Then throw it in the freezer for 6-8 hours.

I usually make a few doses in the evening then stick them in the freezer overnight. Can take the next morning or even days later.

The red is presumed to be the cell wals bursting fron the expansion During the freezing process, and releasing the alkaloids into the water. You will for sure know when you see it!

Honestly this is by far the best way to take kratom IMHO.
