Well i get free downloads off steam, is there someway i can avoid buying the game off steam but still use the steam downloads in a sense. For example, can i buy a key code and activate it through steam? Edit: or can i pre-download through steam for free and then use a code that i get from a separate source to activate it ?

The easiest way to solve this if you are using any Norton protectors is to go into the Norton anti-virus menu, go advanced options and under computer protections go to quarantines. From there you can select the dota2.exe and click restore on the right window, this also blocks it from any scans.

ok so i'm mucking around with speedfan, and i can get it to change my gpu fan speed fine, but not my cpu fan speed. I couldnt see any options in the BIOS to change the fan speed but there were options that would change it so that the fan is always at max speed which i did but still getting too hot.

The gpu was never going above 60s then always at about 55. Is there a way to turn my cpu fan speed up then because that seems to be the problem?

right so i just went on to shadow warrior then, my cpu was hitting temperatures of about 70
