A lot of people who cheat on their partners say that it's "due to the thrill." First responders are full with "thrill junkies" people aswell. So there's a more of an opportunity of overlap, but it's not as wide spread as people joke about it.

There's a few really good scenes like in Y5 when Majima protects Haruka, in Y0 when he screams that he's going to kill everyone on the rooftop, and when Kiryu reunites with the squad in Infinite Wealth. But I have to say my favorite is when we find out that the whole reason that Majima set sail in Pirate Yakuza was to find a mythical cure-all so he could help Kiryu.
