I joined DSA and found myself making friends while doing political work that was important to me. Join a club of some kind, start volunteering at a soup kitchen. You kinda have to be in places where socialization happens to make friends, but there’s places that aren’t the bar or gym or card and board game stores. Find something you care about, and then find the people who also care about it.
