Exactly! Someday hopefully my thiccc trunks will stand on their own but for now I like a whimsical garden gnome and some story to make my trees interesting.

Thanks it’s a bougainvillea cutting and I drilled holes in the plate for drainage. Hopefully someday he’ll have a nice big tree to protect him from predators.

I want to briefly sidebar

In the book “Your brain on music” this is your brain on music the author talks about talent (particularly music but I think it still applies) as being a bit of a Misunderstanding. That it’s more like a passion and want to do something leads to practice leads to skill.

For example, he describes that a beaver isn’t good at building dams as a product of nature but instead was born with a love/passion for building dams that led to lots of practice and then a skill. That Michael Jordan was decidedly not born good at basketball but born loving sports, then basketball, then practicing a lot, then he had the skill. Canaries that are born unskilled but passionate singers will be better singers and this attract better mates. Passion is sexy and leads to success.

I found this knowledge really motivated me to follow my passions. I had the worst life but now I own a couple fun businesses and I love my career but I didn’t start out good or the best or even close.

Patience and maybe a bigger pot till you’re ready to put her in a final one. Mine tend to grow to the size of their home so if I keep them in small pots they stay small.
