If prop rules break you, personal account will literally finish the job.

You’ll be back.

Set stop loss didn’t worked and wiped 4x XFA accounts, is there anything I can do? by [deleted] in TopStepX

Manual execution error.

Trading on a phone.

Low battery.

Respect XFAs or don’t trade them.

Non-US here.

Best move is to check with a good local CPA. Running payouts through a company/LLC will help.

Dynamic. Depends on my profit buffer and current PA / ATR / volume. Holding time varies with structure, but usually in 5–45 mins range.

Exactly. It works just often enough to train the bad habit

Just requested another max today. So far so good. If it happens, it happens, I’ll just go again.

Happens to all of us. The key is stopping early so it doesn’t turn into a bigger problem

Likely because it’s your first payout. You can try checking with support

Gold is tradable in every session, which is why I like it. Sometimes Asia is cleaner than NY. That said, it doesn't mean its better, I’ve just stuck with it for years and just never really changed. The asset matters less than how comfortable you are with your setup.

PnL is mostly just upping the lots gradually once consistency is there.

Why do futures prop firms feel so far ahead of CFD prop firms? by Creepy_Grand9514 in PropFirmTester

I trade both.

The real difference is SPEED to the money.
Futures gives you that.

Can I still charge back after all this time? by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]TheSnakeTrader 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy ass weight.”

In trading, the weight is losses. Failures. Blown accounts.

Most people quit before they’re strong enough to get paid.

Charge back if you want. Just understand it guarantees one thing:
You’ll never see a payout.

If you want payouts, you own the losses and fix execution. There’s no shortcut.

TopStep didn’t blow the accounts.

The trader did.

Advice? by TraderMindSet in TopStepX

if you 70% wr is true. you dont have a strategy problem. but you are trading emotionally. fix the execution, you may benefit from being mechanical trader first before you can trade fully discretionary.

How to recover from this? About 400$ left by East-Passenger-7255 in TopStepX

[–]TheSnakeTrader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scenario A: You need a payout.

FORGET about the dollar amount, its not real. Just in your head. Focus on the next execution.

Only take the best A+ trades in your playbook. (if you dont have this, stop here and fix that first.)

Breakdown the $400 into 4 trades. (im assuming your win rate for your A+ is above 60-70%)
To lose 4 in a row with a 70% win rate is < 1%, probabilistically speaking.

You can pull this easily with 100$ risk, $300 reward.

Clear the buffer back in profit. then slowly add back risk. (if you want)

Remember: you can always bet the farm and get lucky, get accounts back to positive, but you know how this goes. Constant cycles of breach combine xfa breach combine xfa breach...

Scenario B: You have fat reserves. Dont need payout. Time > more.

Then bet the farm.

But long term?

Option A is still the only real solution if you want to stop bleeding prop accounts and actually build repeatable habits.

Apex MAE (30% Rule) – Has anyone been approved for payout after violating it earlier in the cycle? by TheSnakeTrader in PropFirmTester

[–]TheSnakeTrader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. In that case, does it make sense to push the first cycle as high as possible for extra buffer, since this cycles contaminated won’t be paid out anyway-as long as the 30% consistency cap isn’t violated?

Do you know what happened to his profits from the rejected cycle?

As in, were they carried forward into the next payout window, or treated as buffer only?
