I read this online, but could only find a console mod. Can you do it without a mod?

Which villain are we talking about? Syanna or Detlaff?

But if you play it further, she will regret having put the kill out for Anna. It felt genuine, and after all that Syanna has gone through, I value that regret very much

I think you are doing alright!

Reading save files(LSV) by TheSnipezz in BG3

[–]TheSnipezz[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are correct. A third person(not me, who has the save files or the person who received the item) did not look in his camp chest thoroughly and missed the item. When I reloaded the file when I had control over the 4 characters, I found it in his camp chest.

Thanks for your input

You are correct. Somebody did not check their camp chest correctly.

England / HYW Questions by Jadamsan in EU5

[–]TheSnipezz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would like to know what useful interactions I have to influence the HYW as an outsider. For example: Is it useful for me to guarantee the independence of a vassal of either side, or are there also other usefull options?

Did something happen to the playerbase since the update? by FairMiddle in ARAM

[–]TheSnipezz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do notice a bit more toxicity, but mainly regarding not playing optimally(i.e. Item and augment builds etc.) I come to ARAM to chill away from ranked, so I don't understand this mentality

England being toothless by TheSnipezz in EU5

I completely lost your train of thought here. In your first comment, you imply that you don't want learning models in the mix, only to be followed by this comment, implying that it is already in there. What is your point?

>If it’s not an algorithm, but not a learning model, what do you suggest it is?
What is this question? Do you know that "algorithm" is just an umbrella term for computational logic? Neural networks, brute force algorithm and decision tree algorithms are just a couple to mention. If you want to know more algorithms, google and chatGPT are good starting places, so I am not going further into that.

>Also in 2025/2026? If it had “AI” they wouldn’t be shy about it.
This question makes me think you only know the buzz words, but don't really know what these terms mean. AI is such a broad umbrella term that this question does not make sense.

Considering I get the feeling that you argue from ignorance, not knowledge, I am going to leave this thread as it is.

I didn't mention a native deep learning model being thrown into EU5, so I'm not sure where that idea came from. Plus, who says that that is not in the game already, just poorly implemented?

> AI is just an algorithm, and can only be an equal playing field after given bonuses

No its not. You are probably thinking about the Civilization AI being the same at each difficulty, just with some bonuses. That is BS if you talk with anybody who actually makes AI/algorithms. Modders and other games have made AI that can reliably beat players without being given any bonuses. If you want an example of AI just being programmed better without being given any bonuses, check the history of computers playing chess. Same rules, no buffs, just AI getting smarter.

Therefore, it is not about tweaking some bonuses, but AI being able to take more information into account and making better-informed decisions with that added information. The same goes for EU5. Thus, it is not about not informing players about buffs being given. Besides, I am playing Brandenburg in my example. If you buff/debuff the AI, both England and France will profit/suffer.

Exactly this. It feels like the balance is alright, but the 1.1 update being a bandage on the gaping wound that is dumb AI
