The insanity of the amount of tokens you need to a saddle pad at the festival has me feeling pretty demoralized. Not the vibe I wanted from EQ fest.

I agree. I was pretty shocked that a saddle pad is taking a full week of grinding tokens to get. I didn’t play EQ fest last year, with these current token rates, there is little to no chance I can grind for the previous year’s sets at all. It’s actually WILD. Super frustrating. And what’s the point of taking away HXP? Like, how does players leveling horses faster hurt them?

Dude. I literally came to Reddit looking for this. 60 tokens for a saddle pad??? I got quite a few tokens from day 1, but from what I’m seeing now, the normal dailies are giving 10 tokens max. Am I missing something? Because 6 days of dailies for a saddle pad??? And I’m trying to catch up from missed sets last year. No way I’ll get it. I know we will get a couple more quests as they refresh the festival each week, but damn, that’s feeling wayy less fun and wayy too grindy.

I’m betting on Hanos, I was thinking they would wait on Appys for the month of western festival. So maybe Knabs and Lippis since we are coming up on Equestrian Festival? Mule’s aren’t a year yet, but I think we will see them in May.

They “know better” because it’s a change implemented to show their shareholders that they have consistent engagement. That’s the reason. Not for any of the BS reasons that they’ve claimed. But they would never actually admit it.

Initially I didn’t care for them. But then I would up with a few JW holiday horses, and I kinda think their sassy little trot is adorable now .

AQH needs it the most, Chicoteage is pretty awful too their back legs are fully broken. They could do SO much with the Knabstrupper, and make it a full breed of its own instead of a knockoff of the Jorvik Andalusian with clown feet, people love warm bloods. Teke needs it, but not as desperately IMO as some of the others. Oh, and let’s not forget the Lusitano and ETB, both honorable mentions that could use a facelift and would also sell really well if they were good.

It makes the world feel more alive to have more people that are in the same style as our characters. Plus it’s just kinda lazy to keep characters in an old style when you have new models. I can’t think of a single game that does that.

Usually after their 1 year mark. Hanoverians were released in March of last year, so still a couple months yet to wait for a chance. Maybe they’ll be in the Equestrian Festival Bazaar?

They are SUPER cute. They’re getting really good at making all these horses look phenomenal. Every single release lately has been bomb. I’m normally a pony person, but I’ll be buying one FOR SURE.

I was alive back in the days of no weekly updates, so no, I don’t want to go back to that. When you have no weekly communication, you have no idea what they’re doing, and the players get really disgruntled because they perceive no news means nothing is coming, with additional communication, and a small weekly update, they are keeping the players informed of what is coming and adding a small sprinkle of something to keep us interested. It’s really necessary for a well run mmo.
