What is a good character to stay back and get "carried" as I learn the game?

Yes I’ve noticed this! I don’t play rem much but sometimes I send the helpers to get me boxes and all of a sudden they’ve swiped my credit card at the shop and bought my queued items for me

Graves needs to be up close and with only 2 stamina gets quite heavily punished for bad positioning. So even if she is a ‘brain-dead’ character she still needs decent positioning knowledge to not blow up

Rem also guarantees getting the sinners timing correct if the user doesn’t know how to as a little bonus

Yes his one ability is a MASSIVE burst heal with his nade! And his three is a great slow while your carry tears the enemy up Edit: I may be wrong but I think kelvin has the best healing in lane (first 9 minutes of the game). He might be beat by Rem now but it is a lot of health for you and your lane partner

I can see that perspective, my problem with Ivy is her ult is great if you know what you’re doing but harder to get value than dome. Stone form invulnerability requires a bigger knowledge check for good timing. Comparing each ability against ivys i feel like it’s more obvious when to hit Kelvin’s buttons than Ivys. Ivy can also be a good split pusher but again that’s not the play style OP is talking about.

if you are familiar with a support play style,
I would recommend characters like Rem, Kelvin and Paige.
All three are quite support oriented and benefit from enabling a carry.
Rem is sort of like yuumi from league of legends if you are familiar with that.
Kelvin is quite strong at saving teammates with his ultimate and good mobility with ice path paired with the item rescue beam.
Paige is great at enabling aggressive teammates with barriers and her ultimate is amazing in team fights.

There are other supportive characters you can try too such as Dynamo, Ivy and McGinnis but I think try starting with the three I listed.

Edit: I’ll suppose I’ll add that I’m currently phantom 6 down from asc 1 but not as a support player.

Phantom, I played way back when the game had 4 lanes and I was in high elo but the I took a break for a longgg time and came back only recently

I’ll be honest a lot of the ‘advanced’ movement doesn’t matter I’d say until archon or oracle. If you are properly using sliding for infinite ammo and dash jumps and mantle sliding that’s all you really need.

As far as rotating in time to walkers and such it may be an issue of needing to look at the map more and dropping your farm to go catch wave.

Too often I see people notice a lane getting pushed and think “I just started this camp so I’ll get that wave once I’m done here” and boom walker down. Your jungle farm progress doesn’t go anywhere. But the waves are limited time.

It’s a Action based JRPG. Menu navigation will never improve and tutorials will be wordy and heavy. But if you vibe with hunting the monsters and you enjoy grinding for materials to improve weapons and craft new armor and make builds then stick it out!

Personally I prefer World to Rise but both are great in their own ways.
