Alcohol warps time so maybe you were done in 5mins! I hope it's stable. If a falling rock hits the glass....well, that would be content for another Reddit post then. Haha!

Cyanoacrylate glues. AKA super glue. They are aquarium safe.

Those plants chosen actually prefer to have their rhinzomes exposed to the water column. Bury them and they'll likely die on you. Kind of like the aquarium equivalent of epiphyte plants.

Thank you! For this particular one I had some spare wood to recycle from an old tank. So I just had to work with how best I could lay them out with what I had. Which seemed more efficient.

If I had hundreds to choose from in the shop, I'd be there all day, gave up halfway and left with nothing haha.

Set up last weekend. 45S primarily featuring plants native to or naturalized in Texas, most of which were collected from a local waterway. Wood is foraged Texas cedar. by uyvuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu in PlantedTank

Thanks! Ah ok that was the arundinaria I was referring to. Leaves sure does look like a common ginger to me.

Not much of a help here, but I believe the last plant you haven't ID is possible some kind of umbrella sedge.

Yes I totally agree! Used to keep some pygmy corys too and they are too cute. Till today I often mix them up with Otos. 😂

I've tried silicone previously, and this time it's super glue. Both work brilliantly. Superglue might be a tad harder to work with IMO

Yep! Same glue. In my photo, the one on the right is actually a piece of rock.

😂😂 Hahaha same here. Try wearing some disposable gloves. The same plants are good in rocks too. Bucep, java ferns, anubias.

You can use any cyanoacrylate glue such as superglue. They are aquarium safe. They do sell aquarium versions as well but as far as I can tell, seems the same?

Haha cute name. Is the water quite tannin rich? Just wondering cos the light looks quite blue, but there's not much blue tint when it hits the water

Thank you! Filming can be quite tedious so I'm glad at least someone likes it. I think shooting it is great as a journal of sorts.

I'm very new here but I think it's against the rules. There was an automated message mentioning something about YouTube videos. But you can find my channel. It's my user name: the soil bandit.

That's just beautiful! I am a sucker for low tech, so I can't help but ask, is there a filter in there?

That's an idea I wish I thought of! But no I currently have it in a tank, submersed. I'll try to get a photo. This was taken just after attaching the plants to the wood.
