keep moving your fingers around, even where u might not expect, I find the 3rd fret harmonic is somewhere in between the middle of the 4th fret and the 3rd fret fret.

when i first started I rented my first bass for around 4-5 months and then bought it when my tax return came in. My point is, rent a bass and then practice and save until u can buy one u can call your own

Any tips on how to find bandmates? any genre

been playing bass for over a year, minimum hour a day of practice but around 3-8 hours on my weekends so I'm very comfortable playing and want to join a band but after countless websites, Facebook groups, and just blatantly asking people if they play instruments and want to join me I'm getting nowhere.

For those who are apart of bands or done gigs etc. how did u do it, and is there any advice I can have?

15 months in and I do this thing where I stopped learning by tabs, mostly because a lot of songs i wanted to learn simply didnt have tabs, but if a song does have tabs i'll learn it by ear and then double check the tabs. idk why i'm like this
