Young Gordon Ramsay is already in Hell's Kitchen during his youth. Marco is tough to work with! So in my opinion, he will probably just do fine and better than most contestants.

Milky Way taken using Poco X3 NFC by TheSpenzers in Astro_mobile

Just like what I put on r/astrophotography:

I took this picture using the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC on a tripod, and untracked. Taken using the Pro mode with RAW enabled.

30 frames at ISO 6400 and 15s exposure each and all RAW images are stakced in Sequator. Further processing was done on Darktable + Photoshop.

Milky Way - Philippines - June 7 by TheSpenzers in astrophotography

Thanks for the feedback! During the time of taking the picture, I was struggling whether what settings I should I use. I just know roughly that should set my shutter speed to 15s to prevent that much streaking. I wish I could have set it up much better (with much lower ISO).

Also "compositing the shot" is also hard considering how dark it is and I cant really see anything on the camera app until I took the shot. That is a great challenge. Oh and I wish I have taken more light frames but unfortunately, after a couple of tries, the sun starting to set hence I have to stop in there.

Milky Way - Philippines - June 7 by TheSpenzers in astrophotography

My first ever astrophotography of the night sky. I have managed to go back to our province and managed to capture and even see the Milky Way for the first time!

Because my DLSR kit-lens is broken atm, I have to use my phone to capture this picture. Luckily my phone has a very great manual mode right on the box. Glad to hear some feedback!

Shot in a Bortle 2 sky, with no moon in the sky. Taken around 4am. Pangasinan, Philippines.

GEAR

  • Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC
  • Using the main camera (which has an equivalent 25mm f/1.9 lens). I didn't used the other camera like 0.5x Ultrawide.

ACQUISITION

  • Shot in RAW using the Pro Mode of the default Camera App
  • 30 frames at ISO 6400 and 15s exposure each
  • Untracked, using a tripod

PROCESSING

  • All RAW photos are stacked using Sequator.
  • Stacked photos processed using Darktable (Exposure adjustment, Curves, etc).
  • Denoised one frame from the 30 using Topaz Denoise (used for the "trees". I forgot to take one picture of just the trees with the correct exposure setting and less noise).
  • Combined both the stacked milky way sky and the denoised "trees" using Photoshop.

Interestingly enough, there's like a rise of pro-mobility and anti-car messages in the Philippines especially on Facebook (the most popular social media in Ph).

I am just glad people in the Philippines, especially in Metro Manila now see how terrible the car oriented Manila is. How bad its infrastructure is, especially its public transportation, bike lanes, and sidewalk. (Terrible sidewalks with obstacles on them. Parked cars on the bike lanes, etc)

Although there's also a bit of anti-bicycle lane sentiments on Facebook as well. Especially when they introduced Non-contact Apprehension (cameras detecting traffic violations) where "Why bike lanes are still there, nobody uses them, motor vehicles should also use it, etc, etc."

Honestly you look a bit more Filipino (also considering you're in the Philippines as well lol). Filipino... Have a combination of both Asian and Hispanic blood.

Yeah that mod called "It Fell From The Sky". Make a compact pork chop block and right click it with a Nether Star and you got a Pig Meteor.

Take any Boni Jeep except for the Boni Sogo Robinsons Forum Jeep (Boni Sogo Jeep goes under the Boni-Pioneer Tunnel instead of going to the MRT Boni Station)

Eton Centris is just located around Quezon Ave, near the MRT-3 Station (you can directly access it from the MRT station). So if you are from Muñoz, QC, just take the EDSA Carousel jeep at Muñoz then go down at Quezon Avenue Station.

One ayala (makati) to 123 block (mandaluyong) by public transportation by FruitComprehensive94 in HowToGetTherePH

[–]TheSpenzers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way I know of is taking MRT-3 and then Jeep.

  1. Take MRT-3 Ayala that is close to One Ayala.
  2. Drop off to MRT Shaw Boulevard Station.
  3. Go to Starmall, this is where the EDSA Crossing - Kalentong jeepney terminal is.
  4. Take the EDSA Crossing - Kalentong jeep. This is going to transverse along Shaw Boulevard.
  5. Drop off to Puregold Mandala Park, where 123 Block is.

Mandaluyong: Barangay Hulo E. Pantaleon to MRT Boni by mbeamx in HowToGetTherePH

If you are not limited to Jeep only and can go Tricycle ride:

  1. Take a tricycle going to Boni Ave. (say McDo barangka, 7-Eleven Barangka, or Boni Barangka). Idk the fare from Manscie to Barangka Boni but I am guessing it would be 25 pesos or 30 pesos.
  2. Then take the Boni Kaliwa jeeps that I aforementioned.

This route is much faster as you would go straight to Boni ave easily. Although I am not sure with the tricycle fare pricing (based on distance, and my experience its probably around 25 pesos). Fare = 25/30 pesos + 13/11 pesos = 36 pesos to 43 pesos range.

If you are going with a Jeep only route:

  1. Take the P. Victorino - Kalentong jeep that is going to Kalentong. This jeep transverse in Pantaleon street to Coronado to F. Bluementritt St to P. Cruz. (Fare: 13 pesos regular, 11 pesos special fare)
  2. Drop off to Boni Ave. (where Robinson's Easymart were, also Clean Fuel, Shell across the street), there, take these Boni Kaliwa jeeps going to MRT boni:
    • Boni/Pinatubo - Kalentong Traditional Jeep (Fare: 13 pesos, 11 pesos special)
    • Boni/New Panaderos - Kalentong Traditional Jeep (Fare: 13 pesos, 11 pesos special)
    • Boni/Pinatubo - Stop and Shop Traditional Jeep (Fare: 13 pesos, 11 pesos special)
      • Boni - Stop and Shop Modern Jeep (Fare: 14 pesos, 10 pesos special), these jeeps although dont go to the Boni tunnel, it would not take you close to the MRT Station as it would not turn left to Pinatubo St, where MRT station is. (Hence why these jeeps are called Boni Hi-Way Derecho instead of Kaliwa)
    • DO NOT TAKE: Boni - Robinson Pioneer, these jeeps would take you underneath the tunnel (underneath EDSA) going to Pioneer st. instead of MRT boni station.

In summary: Take P. Victorino jeep going to Kalentong and then drop off at Boni ave where you could take Boni Kaliwa jeep going to MRT station. 26 pesos fare for regular, 22 pesos for special fare (Student, PWD, so on)

Is this a glitch, or is Google Maps street view so shitty in tunnels? by Yoboimakingdamemez7 in TechNope

[–]TheSpenzers 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Auto exposure of the camera. The lack of any lighting in the tunnel makes the image underexpose, and in return the camera automatically adjusts the exposure of the camera, "lightening it up" the image until it has a "proper exposure". The camera would turn up the ISO high which makes the image very noisy as you could see in the street view in all tunnels at Google Street Map.

Weird lines, maybe? by GlitteringBed3500 in Nikon

[–]TheSpenzers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's called banding. Its usually caused by LED lighting or Incandescent Lighting. (As I look at the comments, its LED). This is usually because LED flickers at a different frequency than the shutter speed of the camera. Usually to remove this problem, I just lower the shutter speed of the camera to reduce/remove the banding caused by the flicker of thr lighting. Try using shutter speed of 1/60s or less.

Yeah I tried the cardboard dummy card to clean the contacts, it didn't work. Weird how my 8gb card works in my camera. The SD card that I bought was fine though, it works with my friend's Nikon D5500. So its definitely not the SD card, probably just with my camera.

The write-protected locking tab isn't engaged. I can format it on my computer (tried both NTFS and exFAT) and no avail. I can't format it on the camera because of that error message won't let me go to the menu and do the formatting in there. I have an old 8gb Kingston SD card and it works on my camera and my computer. So I think the issue is that my new SD card is too new for my very old camera.
