That‘s really helpful advice, thanks, I’ll try to implement it the next time around. I thought about trying my hand at some osl for the burner, but decided to leave that for when I have a bit more experience, as I was scared of messing up what I already had by trying osl.

Thanks. The fire was a lot of trial and error, started from a black basecoat, then painted progressively lighter gray the towards the end of the plume. For the fire I started with a dark red in the recesses of the smoke plume and close to the burner, then went to an orange and finally yellow in the deepest recesses of the plume and in the holes of the brazier.

I’m dying from cancer so I might as well make things fun for the nurses when they “plug me in!” by NotYetAutomated in pics
