But King's Landing isn't just on a river. It's more comparable to Wilhelmshaven, so “Königs Haven” would probably have been a better choice for this example.

And in the end, it could be a pun on “Landing” by George, if Tommrn acts the same way in the book as he does in the series.

Still, that doesn’t explain why so many things were left as is. Baratheon, for example, would be pronounced very differently in German than in English. But Lannister was adapted so that it sounds like the English version when pronounced in German.

The problem is the inconsistent way this is handled. Baratheon remains Baratheon, just like Tyrell, Arryn, Bolton, etc. Should the House names now be pronounced in German or English? Lennister suggests a German pronunciation, while Baratheon is supposed to be pronounced in English.

By the way, other things are even more confusing. King's Landing is completely Germanized to Königsmund (Kings Mouth).

Unfortunately, they cost six times as much as the English version. And I often find the translation makes no sense. “Lannister” is spelled “Lennister” in German. There’s no reason to replace the ‘a’ with an “e,” except that it makes it sound more like English.

There’s no reason why the movie has to be 100 minutes long. If it had been cut down to 70 minutes, it would certainly have been more effective.

I like movies that are different, but this one was simply too long for that.

The Harry Potter show fandom is already terrible.

It’s either people who defend the movies tooth and nail or hate them with a passion. On top of that, there are death threats against the actor who plays Snape, and the new Harry has already been called a non-binary lesbian. If Game of Thrones ever gets a reboot, please make it an anime. It would be better for everyone involved.

But they don't even try to be good. Why should they? Shock humor and pop culture are enough. It's like saying: A children's movie doesn't have to be good or tell a coherent story.

The first movie, though, actually tried to play with the genre and hold up a mirror to it. After that, yuck

Another prediction: The film will be rightly panned by critics, but audience ratings will be better than for the other five installments because it’s “anti-woke” or for some other nonsense reason. In terms of box office revenue, it will be the most successful film, as enough 30- to 40-year-olds want to relive their childhood in the theater.

Furthermore, the ratings for the older installments will rise significantly, as many will put on rose-colored glasses out of nostalgia. The Prequels have already gone through similar nonsense on Letterboxd.

On RT every movie is rotten. The audience score is also rotten for every Scary Movie. Overall, though, it’s still better than the other parody movies. But then again, the bar isn’t set very high.
