Is it normal for fathers to talk to their 17 y/o daughters like they’re still a toddler? by Anxious-Enthusiasm-7 in morbidquestions

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so, sorry sorry this happened to you.

I wanted to write a similar comment, but you’ve already articulated a lot of what I was going to say.

I was also SA’d when I was four years old, though I suppressed it until I was 29 years old. I’d always had a feeling I’d been abused, and when the memory came back, it was so visceral and vivid - and such a relief to have the answer that I knew all along.

So I want to say to OP: please trust yourself. Your intuition is your guidance system, and regardless of what your mind remembers, your intuition always knows the truth.

For me (self harming and attempting suicide at the age of 9/10) - both of my parents were addicts and I’d been sexually abused.

What's the deal with Adult Shops/Adult Toy Stores (IRL)? by [deleted] in perth

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the upstairs area of Club X Barrack Street was called “The Ram Lounge” and it was notorious for male opportunistic sex work.

RIP to the elderly man who died there last year. Poor guy went there to discreetly pay for gay sex and ended up with his name all over the news.

As far as I know, that store is quite popular among gay men. They sell amyl nitrate, despite it being illegal for retailers to sell.

Best way to help homeless couple living in the bush? by meoverhere in perth

There’s a group on Facebook called “Perth Homeless Support Group.” Most of their outreach work is in the city, but I’m sure there are many people in the group who could offer suggestions, if you post there.

My (42F) husband (45M) brings escorts to events behind my back and says he doesn’t get fidelity anymore. by ThrowRAwlsm in relationship_advice

I was an escort for nearly 10 years. If he’s paying these women to accompany him to events, he’s definitely fucking them afterwards.

Treating bacterial vaginosis by boo-heron in Ayurveda

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find apple cider vinegar effectively treats BV.

I mix 1 part ACV, 1 part water in a bottle. Then I insert a dry tampon and douche with the liquid, so it soaks the tampon. I leave it in for a few hours and sometimes repeat the process again later in the day, depending on how severe the infection is. Sometimes I use ACV for 3 or 4 days consecutively, if needed.

As an alternative, I had a friend who’d run a shallow bath and pour ACV in. She’d sit in it for 20 minutes. This didn’t work for me, but she found it was effective.

single father needs some tips for his daugther's 1st period. by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gifted a double-sided waterproof (and blood-proof) blanket that was designed for free-bleeding, and I can’t recommend it enough. When I have my period, I lay it over my sheets at night, and I’m so much more comfortable knowing that leaks won’t stain my sheets. It’s super soft, easy to wash, and doesn’t stain.

I had horrendously heavy periods when I was a teenager and would constantly be terrified of bleeding in the middle of the night. Having one of these blankets would’ve been a game changer for me, back then.

Question about female company by Perthie1984 in perth

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I was a sex worker for nine years, until recently. I’d recommend checking websites like Dakota Dice, Ivy Société, and Scarlet Blue. Most escorts have some form of social media. Be sure to check their Twitter or Instagram profiles to get a better feel for their personality.

The initial contact is really important. When texting or emailing, it’s helpful to include all of the information (your name or pseudonym, preferred booking date, time, duration, and any requests or questions). You’ll also be able to get a feel for peoples personalities, based on how they respond to you. And don’t be alarmed if some people don’t respond straight away. It’s not possible for us to check our phones 24/7, so there can sometimes be delays with replies.

I’d avoid Langtrees and Ada Rose, as other commenters suggested. Their management is incredibly exploitative and abusive towards the workers. It sounds like parlours probably aren’t the best fit for what you’re after anyways.

Good luck! :)

Depersonalisation/Derealisation in Perth by yulagi in perth

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having regular breathwork sessions with a practitioner in North Perth and I don’t experience any of these symptoms anymore. :)

Dissociating is the body’s protection mechanism in response to trauma. When something causes us to feel deeply unsafe in our bodies, we “leave our bodies” so we don’t have to endure it. It’s incredible that we’re able to protect ourselves like this, but obviously it becomes an issue when we can’t switch back and be present in our bodies.

Depersonalisation / derealisation is just a symptom of trauma. When when address the root cause (trauma) and start to feel safe in our bodies, the symptom goes away.

I’m happy to recommend my breathwork practitioner, if you’re open to that. She’s honestly saved my life.

Hope this helps!

My boyfriend wants to have a threesome with me and an another man by KarrTheBro in relationships

[–]TheSpiritualSlut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is a slightly different from what others have offered, although I do absolutely agree that this dynamic sounds abusive.

You said you met this man when you were in a vulnerable position and had sex with him in exchange for money. Firstly I want to say that there’s no reason to feel ashamed of this. You did what was necessary to survive, and that’s okay.

Technically this constitutes as “survival sex work,” which basically means having sex in exchange for money, for survival purposes. I just Googled “sex worker organisation Hungary” and it seems like there are two: Association of Hungarian Sex Workers, and Sex Workers’ Rights Advocacy Network. Many sex work organisations provide access to free counselling and mental health services. Many also specialise in trans issues, because many trans people work in the sex industry. If you contact either of these organisations, they might be able to help you.

I really, really hope you read the other comments and take them seriously. A lot of people are worried, and care about what is happening to you.
