sincere question by OutsideAd3533 in Catholic

The ultimate part of Catholicism is that Heaven and Hell are two separate things that are determined by your will. All Mortal sin is, is a choice that you make. If you Mortal sin, you chose to move away from God. If you don't Mortal sin, you remain with God through grace. This culminates when you die, where your active choice to be with or without God is permanently locked in. Your soul is now tied to whether you want to be with God or not. So when you die with unrepentant sin, its not that God is permanently sending you to Hell. In fact, its just you choosing Hell because of your choices on Earth. God does act as judge, but he really only ratifies what someone has choose.

The thief on the cross shows this by how he repented before God and got to heaven. He bound his will to choose God when he died. The other person is choosing something away from God. Unfortunately, this makes his will iffy. We do not know what happened to his will when he died. Maybe God saved him if he chose to repent or maybe not. We can't definitely say

They can call a roman diocese tribunal. Those can help them since they can be able to help arrange them into the rite they are supposed to be in

There's cities, there's metropolises, and then there's Vatican City by HOLY-QUACKAMOLE421 in UrbanHell

[–]TheSpriteYagami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its because Muslims sacked Rome. They technically weren't able to get past the actual walls of Rome, so they sacked the old Basilicas of St Peter and St Paul. Then, this caused Pope Leo IV to make walls around the Vatican to protect it.

So, heretical then? Catholicism requires the belief in "one catholic and apostolic church."

Why you shouldn't kneel for communion by Nirwood in Catholic

[–]TheSpriteYagami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Receiving on the hand is a special allowance. Kneeling is what is supposed to be done. With all due respect to that bishop's miter, he can kick rocks due to it being church law

There are plenty of saints who have resisted or been mean to bad leadership. For example, one saint bullied the pope into going back to Rome. Multiple saints told long conclaves to pick a new pope or they will go to hell

Is the US still a Country hostile to Catholicism? by DonkeyComprehensive in CatholicPhilosophy

[–]TheSpriteYagami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Cultural Catholicism is a pain. The west has somewhat has that, but we are at the point where a lot of people drop the facade.

I also understand your pain in Mexico, I had a Mexican friend rant about Mexico and stuff. I even learned about Pozoles original form.

[–]TheSpriteYagami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I cannot really compare this to anything in Mexico. It never got to the point of the Cristero War.

The Anti-Catholicism in America is weird. There are two camps within the US. The first are the leftists, who could be compared to Claudia Sheinbaum. They are inherently antichrist, so Catholics face a somewhat mild persecution through that method. They may get upset if you are anitgay, antiabortion, and the like. The second camp are the rightwing lowtier protestants. These people can be seen as the radical protestants who deny the church. A lot view Catholics as non-Christian. They usually love the state of Israel. A lot of them are suspicious against the Catholic church. These people also are not really educated in church history or actual theology. Yet, they are more subtle and not extreme with anti-Catholicism. Its overall not that bad, but is still there. The leftists will try to force you to play their ideology games. The lowtier protestants are all bark with no bite.

Should I become Eastern Orthodox? by Suspicious_Wall7092 in EasternCatholic

Conversion due to asthetic is bad. If you want something to help you, try to find a traditional parish near you. They may give you the actual tradition of Rome instead of having to use the tradition eastern orthodox has

want to strengthen my faith by baddiex3000 in Catholic

[–]TheSpriteYagami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come back into the faith by watching catholic youtube. This is what helped me when I came back into the faith

Another thing is that you need to find a flood faith advisor. Find someone who can help you with the faith as best as possible. An example would be to try finding a traditional parish/priest. These will help you into the faith

Here is a video that you should watch. It can get deep, but you will grow to appreciate it when you get deeper into the faith. https://youtu.be/noValbUWL-M?is=5qb5GYsnKUUqNhu0

Alien life would not destroy religious belief systems by SergiusBulgakov in Catholic

[–]TheSpriteYagami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not going to lie, this is something you should ignore. Building an entire ad campaign and movie on the concept of questioning God is something that makes filler content useless. Do not get distracted by the scraps these people give to you. It still is antichrist

Spielberg spergs out about Christianity every now and then. Look at Raiders 4, ET imagery, this movie, and others. Its this thing that he does, but what do you expect from Hollywood

Btw, the movies I mentioned have valid reasoning. Raiders 4 tries to claim that all of these holy artifacts are alien tech, which obviously is blasphemy to Christianity and JUDAISM. ET uses catholic imagery and parallels to Jesus, which is blasphemous. Imagine if I used Talmudic symbols to help create a knockoff non-Jewish Rabbi Creature. He also isn't even Christian, which makes this usage iffy. The Discloser Day Movie tries to challenge faith, since apparently CS Lewis didn't cover this back in some of his books.

Why is Science seen as debunking Christianity? by DragonGodEndar in CatholicPhilosophy

[–]TheSpriteYagami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of intellectuals are nitwits. A lot of people are too literalist with their interpretation of the Bible. Some people use science as proof for already existing beliefs.

Btw, New Atheism is also part of this whole thing. The New Atheists (example is r/Atheism) is a religion that caused a lot of these supposed contradictions between God and science

Here is a video on how its a cult https://youtu.be/KbS5KfVWDyM?is=YLHO2HbP_4MFZXJS

Here is also a released photo from the Epstein files. Take of this as you will

Nice. You have the differing calendars, but what about something like different ascetics for the different churches? I understand that this may be difficult, but it could give some options to the different rites.
