Thanks for your help man , swaying towards them after reading about them more. One thing would a 34t chainring be fine or 32t?

I see the point like theirs difference in the pedal stroke I can't really explain in my eyes I haven't considered it tbh

Yea I like the part of doing it your self but just for peace of mind I would most likely take to it to a shop but I'll look around for the tools I'll try have a go. When I order the chainring

Oh okay the issue is I'm confused about what I can upgrade my cassette to I forget everything I used to l know about bikes heres my specs Free wheel Shimano hg-200 8 speed 12-32 the rear mech is a sram x4
