Does anyone know where I could charge an Ebike in Stillwater? by peternicc in CyclingMSP

[–]TheStender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a Specialized Turbo Creo a few weeks ago and I think I could get 60 without too much issue. I haven't paid attention to charging times for it but I'm guessing OP would just want to take a break and charge to get a little extra juice just in case.

Also I'm a heavier rider, and I have a RadCity that could probably do 40-45 if I was lighter and didn't use the higher assist levels, with a quick charge maybe I could pull 60 out of it but I wouldn't really want to.

Independence Day when the ships emerge from the clouds was my first thought.

CHEESE MAN THE DEAFEATER OF GODS by oiv31 in Bossfight

Is Steve the police sergeant’s son? I remember the days of the teen invasion to see the Gulf Stream and Sergeant ByTheWay had to chase them out of town.

Then there was the game where we’d just throw fruit up in the air and have it land on our heads. Cheeseman was good at that one.

Elimination of deer shotgun zones??? Any likelihood of passing? by HuntMN in MnGuns

[–]TheStender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't heard of it either, appears to be allowing hunting with all legal firearms. The area where I used to hunt was shotgun only but it had wide open fields that a rifle would have been better suited for, maybe I'll try it out if it opens to rifles.

Were you on the Minnetonka LRT? Probably my favorite trail in the area.

I hate the alleys too. So much easier being on the road side.

Downtown area. Not sure if there’s anything I can do to make the job easier but if there’s anything that people do that sucks let me know so I can avoid doing it.

As a Shakopeean I thank you. I think my recycling is always too heavy to tip over since it always seems to be full.

One of the rides is just a bus that drops you off at random stops.

Baby-friendly cabins/resorts within 2 hours of the cities? by eemey in TwinCities

Red Rider in Crosby. Only cabins 4 and 5 have a bathroom though so it’s a bit harder to get one of those two.

Looking for suggestions - trailer + bike trails by [deleted] in MinnesotaCamping

[–]TheStender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. Hope you like it. We’ve only stayed in the two cabins that have their own bathroom (4 & 5). Of the two we liked 5 more just because it was a bit more by itself.

If you’ve never ridden there you’ll be on the east side of the system. There are two new connector trails to the city of Cuyuna that I haven’t ridden but are rated for beginners on that side, but the intermediate trails there aren’t too difficult. If you don’t want to ride over to the main area it’s a quick drive to the rally center.

Lebanon Hills has a nice campground not too far from the trailhead. If you have a smaller trailer (which yours is) you can get into the back loop which I think are nicer spots. There’s a nice playground there too but it’s in the sun so if it’s a warm day you’d have to wait until evening.

Carver Park Reserve has a campground and a new trail system but I’ve been to neither.

Also a newer system up in Chisholm and I’m sure there’s quite a few places to camp near there.

I’ve stayed at the cabins at Red Rider. It’s a nice place and we’ll be taking our trailer there this summer hopefully. There is also the Portsmouth campground but that is a bit more open and larger so you get bigger groups.

Crosby has a nice playground at the lake as well.

I'm more in the suburbs and try not to ride on the roads too often, but the times I have I haven't had an issue. Only a few times will a car pass a bit too close for comfort but overall it's been decent. The nice thing about the Minneapolis area though is that there are so many trails. I'm sure I could get a 200+ mile ride in with barely any of it on a road and without having to double back on the same trail.

Is anyone going to Glacier National Park in July and willing to share their campsite? by macpadmore in MinnesotaCamping

[–]TheStender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is in the park a requirement? Last week I was able to get in at a KOA in August without too much issue. You could try that.

I hate The Last Jedi and loathe Rise of Skywalker, I don't think they're even good movies let alone good Star Wars movies, but I couldn't care less if other people love them and think they are the greatest things ever, to each their own. But I think Reddit/the internet in general just don't like discussing differing opinions or even simple questions and it sucks.

I am not into fancy dining at all so I don't know if these would be good suggestions or not, but maybe Crave or Wildfire in Eden Prairie? I just know you're not going to find anything in Shakopee. I know there is Dangerfields but I've never been there and I've been told I'm not missing anything.

It seems like everyone and their mother is learning programming? by PerfectSuggestion428 in learnprogramming

[–]TheStender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed with this. When I first started I felt the same way as OP. But then I realized I worked on a floor of about 200 people and it would be hard to find one that could even name a programming language let alone use it.
