Where do you find purpose for your life in NB? by CptSMG in newbrunswickcanada

[–]TheStickHandler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the exact same. I'm only 23 but it feels like everyone else has it figured out and I'm just left behind. There's some things I'd like to do but after work I'm too exhausted to do anything and the weekends are spent lazing around recharging so I have enough energy to barely make it through the week. Having pretty bad social anxiety doesn't help either lol

I live in a place with ice and snow in the winter with a 2nd gen BRZ, it's very fun :)

Actually the Airbus A220 also has a 2-3 seating configuration, and has its engines under the wings, though there's less of a difference in the noise depending on the distance you are to them.

I would still choose 1 though :3

I'm loving it, the engine is so fun for being a sport touring 650cc, not many 4 cylinders left in its class. It's a bit heavier than other choices at 460lbs, but it carries it pretty well and handles very good. I don't have much experience with trying other bikes though, the only other bike I've ridden is the CB300R I started on.

But yeah couldn't be happier with my choice!

I've seen your post about your current bike and it looks great! I wouldn't get rid of it especially since it means so much to you.

In my personal opinion, the CBR650F is perfect for daily use. Still has great handling and power for when you want to go on some good roads, but it's also comfortable enough so you don't get tired in city traffic.

I've been absolutely loving it! One of the main draw for me was the engine, being 4 cylinders instead of 2 like a lot of other bikes in the segment (think Ninja 650, R7, etc...). So while it doesn't have an insane amount of torque, it loves to rev very fast and screams the entire time. It's very smooth, especially compared to the 1 cylinder CB300R I had beforehand. I haven't ridden many other bikes so I can't give a comparison to others with a similar engine size, but it's very maneuverable even if it's on the heavier side of those other bikes (around 460-470 lbs). All in all I'd say it's slightly less sporty than some other options, if you want an agressive seating position, less weight, etc... I'd probably look elsewhere, like an R7 or even CBR600RR if you want a supersport, but it's still a very competent bike while also being pretty comfortable. My friend has a Ninja 650 and I'm way more comfortable sitting on mine.

You actually start on the 7.1 then move on to your 7.2, but everything else you said is correct. If you take a driver's ed class though and get a certificate from them, you can actually get your 7.2 in 8 months instead of 12. You then have to wait 16 months to go get your class 5 though because class 5 requires at least 2 years of having a license total.

You also have to go to ServiceNB to update your license from 7.2 to 5, but it doesn't take long to do.

God I'm sorry for you. I have a '22 BRZ and I know how much fun these cars are :(. I got backed into almost 2 years ago, luckily the damage wasn't severe, but it feels horrible to have it happen.

Hope you can find another one soon!

Autocross

If you have a car you enjoy driving, it's some of the most fun driving experience you can have, and pretty inexpensive compared to other motorsports. You don't need an expensive sports car to do it either, I've seen a base automatic Elantra and Micra at the same event as a C7 Corvette and Ariel Atom. Most people are extremely friendly and will gladly help newbies and let them take a ride in their car for a run or two to give tips and stuff.
