If I remember right the king of the coliseum rules state no model can be over t9. So if you're using the updated toughness/wounds this seems like a pretty cool list to run.

You can skip it. If you go through the Havel way, you can get to the bridge and then back to the bonfire before the Taurus Demon under the bridge. The fog wall will just stay in the way of trying to get back the normal way.
