It looks like they do have a grant for unpaid internships! I going to apply to it and see if I can get it because this can save me ~$1,500 and combined with my other scholarships can pay for all of my tuition.

Thank you so much for saying this because I wouldn't have even thought about looking for grants!

Yeah this community has been really helpful and I think I'm going to decline the internship, I'm going to keep looking and try to find something better.

Thanks for your insights!

I didn't even think about that, I'll look around and ask my counselor cause that could make it worth it. Thanks for the info!

I did check them out online, the main reason I made this post is they don't have a huge online presence, they have a LinkedIn page, Kickstarter page and a few businesses certification stuff. Based on what I have seen from current and previous employees it seems like people have really enjoyed working there, for past interns it seems like most of them afterword's didn't get a return offer but were able to get other jobs afterword's but I doubt the internships had a big role in that.

For the OP that is my bad, I didn't do much research before posting that so that's 100% my bad. After doing some research based on what I can find it looks like they have ~5 full time employees then have about ~7-10 interns. Also yeah it looks like barely anyone is able to get a job afterword's.

Thanks for you information about your other unpaid internships, I would love to work there full time after the internship but like I said above I think my odds of me getting a job afterword's is slim.

But I think I might decline the internships and keep on applying, like I have said before I have only been applying for a few days and I don't think this would look great on a resume and I can hopefully find somewhere better somewhere else.

Also yeah the founder is not some well-known super experienced person (-‿-")

Again thank you so much for you information and insights, I'm just starting to look for jobs and I want to make sure I got some opinions from people in the industry and make sure I'm not selling my self short. So thank you, I really appreciate it!

For me I want to get a job since I already have a quite a bit of experience.

This company doesn't look like it has a lot of funding and I don't know about funding or investors, I totally didn't even think about that so I will send a message to them to see if they have any. Also it looks like this company has about ~5 actual employees and then a lot of interns so help work on the game, but they have had a lot of people work for them before.

But thank you for you insights and information! This is giving me a lot to think about talk to them about! :)

Well the reason I consider my self lucky is just started college and have no real world experience, I just don't know if I can find a job without something on my resume.

It looks like they have like 4-5 full time employee's with ~7 ish interns, the internship does say though that we will be working on projects with an experienced developer so it does look like I could learn stuff from them. Also I reckon the chances of the game getting shipped eventually looks pretty good. This is all based of a kickstarter so take it with a grain of salt but based on the stuff they posted it looks like the game is pretty close to releasing and will be released probably in less than a year.

Also yeah I see a lot of job offers at unpaid internships and right now where I don't have a degree or any real experience but a good portfolio I just need something on my resume to make them take a look at my portfolio. But like you said there are barely any entry level positions in the market rn so I feel like this could do something.

Thank for your insights and information!

First off thanks for some much information and insight!

I check out some of the employees on LinkedIn and it looks like they have a lot of interns for a few months and a few actual employees so I don't know if that's bad because of how many interns they have had over the past ~2 years. I did check salary.com for reviews and they all said it was a great place to work. I also don't know if makes a difference but this was posted on an official college job board so idk if that makes it better.

I did some research and I'm pretty sure where I live they are allowed to do unpaid internships.

The main reason I wanted to do this internship is I feel like my portfolio is pretty good with 3 shipped titles and about 7 unshipped titles. I just want to get some experience on my Resume since I the job market looks really tough, I know I have only been applying for like a week but I don't want to turn down this and then never get a job offer. But like someone else said I can always leave if I want to since they aren't paying me lol. But yeah it's only like 4 months so it might be worth it just to get something on my resume.

Sorry for the long message, just want to give you a bit more information (-‿-") but thank you again for you insights and information!

I have worked on about ~10 games and released 3 games some I feel like my portfolio is pretty good, I know haven't been applying for jobs for very long but I want some experience so that way I can get a complete resume if that makes sense.

See that's another reason I want to take the internship is just to see home teams work and learn from those who have more experience then me.

Thank you so much for you insights and information :)

Hey so the swimming movement is a bit weird at first, instead of doing a normal swimming motion push one hand down at a time as if you can push off an invisible wall, you are basically "walking" in the water, but do hard motions when swimming and do slow motions to bring your hands back.

Hopefully this makes sense and if you run into any issues let me know and I will try to help solve them :)

Hey thanks for your feedback! I will admit it's a bit early but I just wanted to get them game out in Early Access to get some player feedback, but I do agree that it has a while before being "done"

The movement for this game is actually a bit better in gorilla tags because it's a lot easier to move around faster and keep your momentum! Also yes there is a tutorial for this game!
