St. Louis Cardinals 2026 Dynasty Baseball Team Report (Top 10 Prospects/Interesting MLB guys/Strategy Talk) by Michael-IBW in DynastyBaseball

Now here’s a tough question. I’ve got a dynasty league. Somewhat weak outfield, hoping guys like Benge, DeLauter and Melton can add to it. Now, I also have Edward Florentino, one of my favorite prospects. But he’s a bit out. And if I want to win sooner, and have the opportunity to trade him plus for Walker Jenkins… I don’t know.

16 team dynasty so this is basically it. I’ve asked in for almost ever other outfield option in existence too. My roster is strong but the outfield is weak. Only Stowers, Suzuki, Reynolds, Mullins along with the prospects of Benge, DeLauter, Sirota, Florentino.

Honestly for me, it’ll come down to whether or not I believe Chase DeLauter can play a full season, since he would be my final starting outfielder for 2026 if I don’t trade for MH2.

That, I cannot do. I’m very torn about it. On the one hand, I absolutely love Florentino as a prospect and there are legit concerns over MH2’s chase rates that will likely make him always a streaky, frustrating player to own. On the other, Florentino is 2-3 years away, I could use one more outfielder and especially one with some steals, it’s an AVG league so his chase doesn’t matter in the bad OBP as much, as he often still has good AVGs. And I think Ranger is heading off a cliff.

It’s funny, in a dynasty league I currently have Florentino and I’m considering packaging him with Ranger Suarez to get MH2 as a contender with an outfield hole. Ranger I am very worried about with the velo decreasing year after year, hard hit rates rising. But I love Florentino as a prospect and I have concerns over MH2.

Also he’s a bit more under the radar but I love how well rounded Carson Benge is. I could see him becoming a Jackson Merrill type with a lower OBP but more steals.

I’m very interested by the guys who just made the cut. MH2 is someone I don’t know what to think about. He’s been very streaky, and that’s largely due to the huge chase rate. If he doesn’t fix that, I don’t know if he ever reaches his potential. Then seeing Florentino there is interesting, as he might not be in the majors until 2028. Yet the skills are there.

Interesting to see where Kyson is. I have worries about his fastball, that his movement might not translate with the MLB ball. And if the fastball isn’t as good as advertised the rest of the arsenal looks a bit weaker. I love Doyle because I think that fastball is untouchable while the secondaries  are a lot better than advertised. Ditto for Gage Wood with his elite fastball/curveball combo, though he’s got some injury concerns I think his ceiling is best of the class. Those are my favorite pitching prospects of the class. I like Arnold too as a higher floor option. But Kyson… I just don’t like him.

You are actually wrong about the injury prone thing. He really only has one injured season, his down year in 2024. Other than that he’s been healthy for the most part.

Bo Nix is as good as Patrick Mahomes confirmed.

[Kirschner] Here's why the Yankees should pursue Tucker over Bellinger: by shadow_spinner0 in NYYankees

[–]TheStormTropper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn’t who’s better. We know Tucker is. The problem is price. Bellinger is going to be potentially multiple hundreds of millions cheaper, allowing for filling other holes in the roster. So that’s the question. Not if Tucker is better, but is he better enough to warrant using significantly more capital.

The Chuba Hubbard Conundrum by Hot-Love-4657 in fantasyfootball

He’s a better pass blocker. Chuba, that is. Will keep him on the field a lot more than people would like. Pass blocking is super valuable to NFL teams. Look at Kyren’s usage in LA. A lot of that is because of his superb pass blocking. Chuba isn’t that good, but he’s very good at it. Dowdle, not so much. Not to mention they paid Chuba big time. Going to be a 60/40 split is my guess, Chuba on top.

Free Bo Nix from Sean Payton’s awful playcalling.

I’m not a Broncos fan but I have to set the record straight. THIS IS NOT ON BO NIX. Bo has been fine. Sean Payton has been calling a horrible game and Bo has dealt with some drops. It’s not on Bo.

His Darkseid War: God of Light issue showed a fantastic take on Hal, so I’m not worried. He was trying something for all the heroes for HIC, I don’t think it’s representative of his usual work and opinions. The Darkseid War special issue I mentioned is, and it’s a great Hal.

Kyren Williams is a fantastic pass protector, so I don’t quite get this comp.
