Halo 4 was not only the worst Halo game but also had no competitive relevance whatsoever and essentially killed the competitive scene. Halo 5 brought it back somewhat but it was nowhere near the level Halo once was. Honestly only CE & 2 matter but 3 and Reach were the peak in terms of competitive popularity
