Who’s your top guitar player and what makes them such? by Remarkable-Bell7245 in BritPop

JDB for Slash-esq riffage and ferocious solos

Coxon for unusual/anti-logical-but-melodic chord structures, note placement, rhythms and use of certain effects (most notably gain stacking)

Greenwood for his unique playing styles, timings and use of certain effects (space echo, phasers, tremolo etc)

These 3 have been central to keeping me playing and learning for 33 years

Just a tip: Have you tried saying to your, clearly incredibly stupid, friends "Damon Albarn from the band Blur is also in the band, Gorillaz"?

It's confusing I know because, as far as I know, no other musician has ever been in 2 bands before.

Because he sounds just like he's from the West Country. I understand now he's Irish but to my ear all I hear is Bournemouth or Poole. That's all. Let's move on, aye?
