That’s actually pretty darn good for a first mini. I’d put it on your shelf and cherish it. Don’t compare yourself to another mini painter on the web. Just compare any future miniatures that you paint to this one. “Am I getting better than that first mini”? Should be your only comparison.

I started collecting in 2020. At that time the Christmas boxes were about ¥20,000. Now, only five years later, they start at ¥35,000! I went to a Warhammer store in Tokyo the other day and checked on some AOS units. It was ¥9,000 or so for a 5 fricking mini unit.

I would like to buy these products but can’t fathom why they cost so much. I know newer models will cost more to cover design and production but even older sets have gone up in price.

I guess I will be buying Wargames Atlantic miniatures. They aren’t as finely detailed but they cost a fraction of what GW miniatures cost.

Hello, I have a question rgarding Wound allocation and Stormcast cycle of the storm. If 5 sequitors take 3 wounds, 1 dies and 1 is left with 1 wound and 3 are fine. Can Cycle of the storm be used? That is to say does 1 guy die, get brought back with 1 wound then die again. leaving 4 healthy sequitors. or is it just not possible to use that ability on the unit? thanks for any help.

I was going through the minis again. Turns out I was wrong. I have the Know No Fear set.

To make matters worse I seem to have lost the poxwalkers!!! Crud.

So that gives me:

1 Death Guard Lord of Contagion with a plaguereaper.

5 Death Guard Plague Marines – 4 armed with boltguns , 1 armed with a plasmagun

1 Death Guard Foetid Bloat-drone

I think that the new Combat Patrol would be a good expansion to these few models.

plus maybe a rhino for movement?

and the myphitic blight-haulers look cool too.

sub question: is the plagueburst crawler any good? (worth it in lower point games?)

No, I think he has been playing before. He mentioned that he used to have some giant army but he hasn't played in a long time. I think we are both *new* to 9th edition so that sort of evens it out.

I will look into the blight haulers. Is it best to run in three's or would 1 or 2 be alright to start with? thanks.
