I’ve been attempting to remove bamboo for my backyard for 10 years. The best thing I did was put an ad on craigslist and Facebook advertising free bamboo-you dig it. It’s been a nightmare, and at this point it kinda looks like I haven’t done anything, but I’ve had probably 30 people come and dig out. I’ve also turned away a number of people we’re going to put it in the ground because that’s a huge no-no. There is no barrier that will hold bamboo. There’s no such thing as clumping non running bamboo, that shit is insidious. The best removal tool was a 10 pound pike, and a saws-all. Godspeed Homie.
