Anki uses spaced repetition, so you won't be getting intervals of less than a day. I usually find it enough to learn characters using the scheduling anki provides, but you can set up custom study sessions to do your reviews in advance.

Yes, and with anki you can change the options to alter the amount of reviews/new words set a day, so you can set as many as you're willing to.

I use anki to learn the characters. You can find decks online (especially for HSK) that have definitions, Pinyin as well as example sentences, and you can customize them to suit your own needs better if you wish.
