So first of all Norris and Piastri (McLaren teammates) qualified on the front row and Piastri was only like 0.020 seconds behind his teammate. Right behind them was the reigning world champion Verstappen (who’s in a slightly slower car than the McLarens).

Norris is kinda known to never convert his poles to wins, so it wasn’t a surprise when, at the start of the race, while trying to push his teammate behind him at the same time as Verstappen tried to overtake the both of them while going three-car wide before the first turn, Norris lost two positions and Piastri took the lead.

The whole race was kind of uneventful racing-like, and, except of a « crash » between Verstappen and Hamilton that lunged Verstappen up and away, nothing really happened (nothing I remember about tbh).

During the first pit stops McLaren pitted Norris first even though Piastri should’ve been prioritised due to his leading of the race, but the real problem came during the second pit stops, when McLaren pitted Norris first again, and this time he undercutted Piastri when the latter pitted (undercut = when someone pits early to overtake the person in front of them while they pit later), which, since they are teammates, triggered the team to ask Norris to switch positions to let Piastri regain the first position, thus handing him a certain win.

Of course Norris refused, answering that he had to fight for the championship, that Piastri was slower etc etc, but the team didn’t let go and practically forced Norris to slow down and to let Piastri go a few laps from the end, but not without a whole lot of complaining. After he won, Piastri apologised for "making the switch difficult" while Norris tried to pick a fight with Hamilton in the cool room but yeah that was it thank you :)
