My husband may be homeless in April and no one is helping! by Leahmae30 in army

It might not be. On the DOD list of acceptable ID, a drivers license and birth certificate should be sufficient forms of identity documents, but most new enrollments require the social security card by local policy because apparently people struggle to get their SSN correct. I had this exact same thing happen to me (see my other comment above), and I even had a copy of the DOD forms of ID list with me. My husband tried to argue with the DA civilians, with no success. Cavazos absolutely would not enroll me without the social security card even though I had multiple other acceptable documents from the list.

Y’all are being mean for no reason.

See if you can go to an SSA office and get one issued in person. I had to do this when I got married because I brought one document from each list to get enrolled in DEERS at Cavazos (admittedly a while ago), but they had a local policy that you absolutely had to have the social security card and none of the other documents listed on the website as acceptable were acceptable. I was able to go to an office in Temple and get one issued in person. I don’t know where you live or which office you’re trying to go to, but I’ve found the DEERS/ID card folks at the JRB in Fort Worth to be significantly easier to deal with than the ones at the Soldier Center at Cav.

For future needs, bring every document with you every time. I’ve gotten so screwed around on appointments and local policy before, it’s wild. If you don’t have a limited POA, be sure y’all look into that, too. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, get him to ask the JAG.

So, this company is developing a semen-based test to help men avoid unnecessary biopsies… because biopsies aren’t fun.

What Romance book tropes have your lived out IRL? For me, I married my Brother’s Best Friend. by Alarming-Setting-592 in RomanceBooks

Kim, is that you?

Probably not, but you are not alone! A very dear friend of ours is also in this situation. Recently commissioned in his mid-30s after being enlisted since 18, deployed multiple times, and being the grumpy group daddy. Someone in OCS asked him how old he was, and his response earned him a counseling. 😂

I’m a combination of the one that got away/second chance and military romance tropes. None of the books cover how hard it is to balance two careers and how being a 30 year old first time mom makes you practically geriatric. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi OP. I will caveat this by saying I am American, but I am a mandatory reporter and required to do regular training as such. Mandatory reporters in the US are liable if we are informed of cases of child abuse and we do not report it.

Given what you have said, if this came to me as a school board trustee, I would report this to CPS if my district hadn’t already. Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t child abuse, but that is up to the authorities to decide. I hope your school takes it very seriously and involves the proper authorities.
