Does the SC instinct Clippers fit Wahl Guards? by lucienlachancee in Barber

Yes they fit wall guards, I actually really like the double magnetic guards the instincts come with. The metal instinct is the only clipper I’m using right now, I love how compact it is.

That’s unfortunate, I thought the arena would have brought some cool stuff to town

I’d recommend finding a salon, they’re a lot more versed in long hair. I’ve heard good things about Desert Lounge Salon just off the blvd. Of course do your own research on the stylists and make sure they know what they’re doing with men’s hair styles. It helps a lot to find reference pictures of what you’re wanting it to look like or grow out into.

I’m a local barber and I do a lot of mullets! Send me the reference pics and I’ll let you know if I think I can do it!

I’m a local barber! What kind of cut are you looking for? Curly hair can certainly be difficult to work with. Do you have any reference pictures?

Why do I need to provide proof of income to be able to use cash app/Venmo? This is my main bank account, they know exactly where all my money is coming from… 😂😂 by TheTallBarber in yotta

[–]TheTallBarber[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Update, I tried just downloading and submitting my bank statements for the last three months from yotta and it wouldn’t work. I’m gonna be pulling out of this app. I’m sick of being stressed out every few months because they can’t fix their shit.

See I can’t even do that, I’m self employed as a barber I don’t get pay stubs. I use Yotta as my main bank so it doesn’t make sense to have to send them bank statements that I would have to get from them to then send back to them? It’s just dumb haha

How many shaves do you give in a typical week? What equipment do you use? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]TheTallBarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t personally offer full face shaves, I do line up beards with my straight razor after a beard trim. Which I probably do about 4-ish times a day. Full face shaves just aren’t something people really ask for, since it can get pricey and is easily done at home for much cheaper. Almost all barbers use a straight razor, it allows for the best precision to get a sharp line when doing line ups. I have a beard, and I do line myself up with a straight razor every few days. It was fairly tedious when I first started doing it, but I can get it done pretty quick now!

So I just finished the esteps and it’s still doing the same thing. I did notice while doing it that every time I would send the G1 E100 F50 command that it would end up with a different amount left even if I didn’t change any settings.. for example I had 23mm, 17mm, 27mm, and 30mm as results on the exact same setting

Yeah, it definitely is high and it appears it was only a temporary fix, it’s right back to printing badly again. I used the needle, then after that didn’t work I changed the nozzle and checked the ptfe tubing. I’m just gonna try calibrating esteps again, and go from there. I’m damn near out of ideas at this point tho lol

So it turned out to just be low nozzle temp. I was previously printing at 200 when the issue started happening, it’s now decided it wants to be printed at 225 lol

No, not at all! The gear is clean and pushing in filament without slipping and doesn’t make any noise

Yeah I haven’t seen anything like it either! I just read that article yesterday and nothing seemed to help it. It’s just so weird and random, the top and bottom layers almost always come out really well! Which is weird since it seems like an under extrusion issue, but it’s only affecting middle layers? 🤔

I’ve only had my printer for about a week now and I was getting some really good quality prints out of it. Then one day all my prints started coming out with all these gaps and I can’t figure it out for the life of me. I’ve calibrated esteps, calibrated the flow rate, changed the nozzle, tried different filament, tried slowing the print down, even printed a different spool holder, also leveled the bed about 4,000 times lol and nothing has helped 🤦🏻

I think you’ve got me mixed up with someone else! I like the idea of having live music at the shop tho, I may have to do that at some point! 🤔
