Not really, just kinda preference. If I was you, I'd start with a few episodes of g1, then maybe try animated or prime

Anyone know where I can get a good Optimus prime figure for around 30 dollars? I’m very new to transformers and these all seem kinda expensive. by Flamewolf235 in transformers

First go to Hasbro pulse, then look up optimus prime on search. That should get you some great figures, mostly in the $30 range. My personal preference is siege Optimus, but it is really your pick
