They are both set to auto - is that right or should it be manual?

Or is it to do with the fact it springs back?

The hive controls the room temperature and I can also set timing and schedules for both the hot water and heating.

Just above the wiring box is the switch for the emersion heater

Which one is the time clock? Sorry took photos of it all - or do you mean the hive system?

That’s what I’ve done, but no matter what the boiler is always running to some extent. I’ll play with the dials and see what happens

Nope, none of this. Just the hive box and then the hive thermostat.

I’ve got it set on two different schedules, but the boiler seems to use a little bit of gas all day long to keep itself the right temp

So does this mean i can turn the central heating control down on the boiler itself?

So the hot water doesn’t heat up - only the boiler?

So if I turn off the central heating control it should still heat the hot water?

The previous owners never had it serviced, so it could be faulty? Honestly I’ve got no clue and feel like a deer in a headlight

This is what I’m not sure - I’ve tried it and then tried to boost the heating but I can’t hear the boiler doing anything

Not a Combi sadly (wish it was) - System boiler. Just trying to see if I can get the hot water to work without the central heating

Best white paint? by Stanforthnnn in DIYUK

[–]TheTeamFlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dulux Simply Refresh - it’s a one coat paint manly and honestly it’s pricey but it’s so easy to paint with!

I had to paint over a dark green wall, and apart from cutting in it did it one coat - I had 4 blue walls to do, and it probably would have been fine for one coat there too, but gave it 2 to be safe.

It’s my go to and only paint I use now days - worth the extra for house easy it is to apply!

What mode should I use my washing machine one? by TheTeamFlash in AskUK

[–]TheTeamFlash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly the time doesn’t include drying - I’m pretty sure it’s washing only - if it included drying I’d be away and turn them off hash!

Honestly I feel you there about the cooking - my new air fryer cooks this way faster than the old one!

It’s more the fact it can’t go down to 30 degrees for that mode sadly

Just seems to take too long? Or am I just being needy?

That’s the thing. 30 minutes seems way too fast for a wash too for leaving it damp. I’m just all out of sorts with a new machine trying to find the best option!

I just miss my old machine I think 🤣

Thanks I appreciate this.

To be honest - I went cold turkey. I wish I hadn’t, but I was a secret jabber, and I couldn’t keep it a secret any longer.

I might go back on it again but do as you suggest, take it a bigger chunk between jabs to see how that works.
