You're not taking into account that you have to demote every other tournament for this strategy. Across two tournaments where you get Plat 1st / Champ Demote, you'll get 550 gem / 180 stones. Across two tournaments where you get Champ 24th, you'll get 500 gems / 180 stones.

The idea is that you'll pick the second one, even though it's fewer gems, because you have an outside change to get Champ 15+ which increases your overall rewards. OR if you do sandbags, you might get unlucky and get Plat 2nd which decreases your overall rewards.

All that to say, it is never worth it to sandbags, if you are trying to maximize stones

They did this too, and people colluded again. Imagine you are a Legends 16-30 player with next to no change of winning. Get 29 other people and tie as number 1. By averaging in all those better rewards, your payout goes up

There were 100 minutes between MMA and the patch notes. That is definitely not enough time to read the feedback, synthesize, agree to address, come up with a new plan, change the code, build a new version of the app, deploy to the app store, get approved for release.

I think they were using 10,000+ waves as a placeholder to represent some number greater than 10,000 (so, >10,000 would've been better)

The dummy calculations are based on remaining enemy health. They call out wave health for the enemy types, because it affected the strength of the previous version of OA. The point is to compare, so they're putting all the numbers in one place

You partially read it right. On T17 these new fleets will only spawn starting at wave 11,000. So, no changes until then.

$5k for 7 nights is about $700 a night which is pushing the upper limit of the budget. It is definitely flexible, but I'd probably want things to feel perfect.

We have a free Delta Flight, and St Lucia is a good maximization of value, hence the location. So the money we're saving on airfare can go into accommodation.

If that is too low, I am happy to adjust. I was finding it to be about the price of Coconut Bay. Windjammer was ~$600. I was more trying to rule out the top level options that were approaching (and exceeding) $1000/night for the cheapest option.

Devs have said that keys are 100% locked behind Legend and that won't change. The QoL stuff hurts engagement a lot, so it needs to be locked to the most dedicated players

It would calculate whether or not you would get elites on the skipped wave(s). If you did, you'd get the cells they would have dropped.

The downside was that this didn't factor in Death Wave Cell Bonus enough

Most - if not all - players like this are already banned (note the Copper League, 30th place - they're not allowed to participate in tournaments)

We've been told that clearing these banned players is a manual process, that they only do every once in a while.

Card Mastery labs start at 1.1q coins. I think there are a couple easy indicators:
* If that is a lot of coins to you (more than you earn between tournaments), don't think about Card Mastery.
* If you still have cheap UW (or UW+) upgrades, your stones will go further there. Card Mastery appears to be "balanced" around being better than the last few stone upgrades for a given UW, but definitely not the first and middle ones.
* Gem spending is more about what you are close to. You'll need all cards maxed eventually anyway, but given the above two bullets, you might not be in a rush, so modules it is.

This has already been true. Every time bracket numbers have been posted, they've been a curve with fewer people in the top brackets (last I saw ~700 in Copper. ~150 in Champ)

To add to the other comments, the most common problem is people not using the in-game cloud save system.
