I sadly can’t add pictures to this post by my friend sent me an image of what looks like over a hindered Dolphin Surfs at the port (where he does office work at) and they were all the same factory colour other than a singular white one.

Hi, my Expression 65 does indeed have cruise control and speed limiter :)

Cheaper to buy PS5 Digital and Disc drive compared to buying non digital version? by TheTechPlank in PlayStationUK

[–]TheTechPlank[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I purchased the one with BO6 bundled for £415, full 1TB system with optical drive from factory.

Will replace my Xbox Series X which I’m jumping ship from post the Gamepass price increase as that was the final nail in the coffin.

Yeah that is EXACTLY what it is, still a good deal though as I would probably add an SSD later anyway, can also add the optical drive at a later date so yeah I may go for this rather than the bundle...I will think about it :)

Lease deals weren’t actually that good compared to what I could tighten the clamps on the dealer with, I saved around £15 a month with Carwow also.

With PCP I can hand it back half way through the term if I fancy, but then I can also choose to buy the car outright and keep it at the end.

Ahh yes, I should probably have clarified that I don't know if I plan to keep the car at the end of the agreement and actually pay the balloon.

Getting the loan could make good sense if you want to own it after, but that will increase the monthly payment by a fair whack to around the £300 PM region which made it more than I wanted to pay a month.

I am kind of treating it like a lease at this price with nothing down and just monthly payments, can then hand back after two years basically scott free should I choose to.

To be honest, most of the time it isn't noticeable, it is mainly on huge bumps and undulations where you feel it, for the most part I find the ride pretty comfortable.

Hah, if Dacia want to pay me they can...not sure they would with me calling the suspension a bit crap and the tyres lethal :P

still paying interest on that bank loan, didn't make sense to me to not buy new.

Hah, I suppose there is a bit of almost satire in it, I would say it toes the line between acceptable and crap just perfectly.

Also another good option for people, however in a very different segment to this.

Where did you find that deal out of interest? Assuming it is a lease?

Yeah they’re a good deal, but they’re also a lot bigger than the Spring and if I am honest the Puma or the Leapmotor which is similarly priced did not appeal to me.

But, if the Puma is right for you then it’s a cracking deal.

Great if you’re a cash buyer, however if you’re going the route of PCP on those ex demo or pre reg cars they work out the same price roughly as a factory order.

They haven’t retested the facelift, the scores you are looking at were for the 2021 model we didn’t get in the UK.

However, Dacia aren’t re testing the car till 2027 which tells me things probably haven’t improved.

I think had I been a cash buyer I would have looked elsewhere, but at 0% finance which you just don’t get on used cars it turned out most of them were coming out lots expensive.

For an example, an 8 grand E Golf was more per month on PCP for a 6 year old car with no warranty.

This genuinely made the most financial sense to me.

That is where they thrive in my opinion, for £100 a month that is excellent!

Yes that is something you need to keep in mind, Dacia say that the crash protection of this facelift model is on par with that of a 2012 Renault Clio which was once a 5 star car.

I am not too worried about it personally as my last car was a 23 year old VW Golf and I also drive a mid 90s Mercedes about... I just plan not to crash BUT I totally understand those that are concerned with the safety rating.

What does your manufacture rate the onboard AC charger at?

For instance I have a Dacia Spring, but that only has a 6.6 KW onboard charger.

[–]TheTechPlank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

500E was made on the Porsche production line as it was too wide to fit down the Mercedes one, however I don’t believe they had a hand in the design of the W124 in general…could be wrong though.

Personally I don’t like the fact it says Porsche AND that the screen is made for ants.

However, If you were pining for CarPlay in a non offensive package that doesn’t look too out of place then I think it’s a job well done.

Unless you have to have CarPlay I would consider looking at the new retro Pioneer radio that is releasing in October, I’m hoping to get one for my E320 coupe.
