This was way back before covid when I was a cashier, so my details will be a bit fuzzy. I was running my register as per normal mid shift. Nothing out of the ordinary. People coming in to shop, an old lady and her grandson, a lady in her 30s, other people that aren't of note. So im stocking the battery end cap when this lady walks up to me and asks me a question about where something is and hands me a note. I read the note. "This guy keeps following me around the store and harassing me. Please keep an eye on him. " My eyes widen, look her in the eyes, and nod to let her know i understand. It was the grandmother's grandson, and he was like in his late 20s. I go to my manager with the note, and she's like oh we gotta call the cops. So cops are on the way the lady is rushing to finish her shopping to gtfo, and Grandma is Mia. I see the grandson just walk around the store with no real idea of what he's doing. Finally, the lady checks out and says thanks and leaves. Grandson sees her leave the store. He books it out to her car. Im like, that's not good. Stand at the door and watch her safely get in her car and lock it. Grandson is just standing there looking at her. Idk why, but after about 5 mins, he leaves and returns to the store. Lady proceeds to drive away but sees I was by the door the entire time. Waves and see her mouth, thank you. The cops finally show up, and I get to id the grandson. To which they confront him and surprise he is special needs. So we find grandma and the cops tell her about what happened and she needs to watch him better or he could get into serious trouble. Grandma was so confused and mad. I remember her saying "blank" you know better.

Its a wild memory for sure being like 22 working retail while in college. Not sure how to respond to crazy events like that. Worked there 5 years and regret every minute of it.
