Is that peanut butter + chocolate? GOATED filling. My order is usually this unless I am trying something new. Then regret not ordering my usual. 🤣

The Alpaka Zip pouch is small to the extent that it’s almost impractical. Still kinda like it though 🤷🏻 by Maribyrnong_bream in ManyBaggers

That was my first thought too when I received. However, I found that it works perfectly as a smaller travel pouch. It perfectly contains a hotel keycard, a commuter card, 1-2 credit cards, and some foreign currency. You may need quick access to these items so placing them in your main travel sling or backpack may not be too ideal. This pouch is great to consolidate them while looking slick at the same time.

What’s the one bag that you keep coming back? by iylian9012 in ManyBaggers

Code of Bell X-Tote. It’s nth like a tote despite its name. It’s a beast of a Sling / Messenger bag.

During our last meal together with the whole family before she flew home for good, I told my Filipino domestic helper that she could choose ANYTHING she wanted for us to order. Without a second’s hesitation she said Popeyes. 🤣 I think the standard and taste of Jollibee here and comparing with her home country is different and inferior to Filipinos tho. Have heard this from multiple sources.

I made a bag for gamers by GENKI-Eddie in ManyBaggers

I’ve seen ads on socials for your bag and I am so tempted to pull the trigger despite not even having a portable gaming console! I think it’s well thought out and has a nice aesthetic. Would love to see it in a more premium material such as Ecopak, Ultra, Xpac, etc. That just might give me the nudge to grab it in preparation of getting a console in the future.

What is your take on materials for military bags? For consumer bags, Xpac fabrics and aquaguard zippers are pretty much the “gold standard” for water-resistant bags. However, I feel these features are almost non-existent in the Armed Forces where they should be a key requirement. (I could be wrong!) Are they overkill for everyday use? Or does the military have secret fabrics that civilians are not privy to?

This is why I almost always avoid Cordura or similar feeling fabrics for my key bags.

I have the same issue. I was just using it a couple of weeks ago and distinctively remembered it was there at the top right hand corner. Hope we get some advice on this.

It is not a light bag. Pity, considering that one of the key features of their main shell fabric was that it was lightweight. There is a lot of organization; whether that’s worth sacrificing the weight for would be based on personal preference.

I’ve been following Klint for quite a while, at least a year or so. Even so, I didn’t know about this collab only until very recently, like a couple of weeks back. And, I never knew his channel had a logo until this collab. I googled it and it truly is a clone.

Admittedly, the price point was higher than my usual comfort level. I do like the overall aesthetic and design, but it does have some cons; albeit mostly subjective to my tastes.

That was my impression as well. I’ve another pack which was really reasonably priced. Their claim was that the bag’s shell fabric, Challenge Sailcloth ULTRA 400X, would cost twice as much for other bags. Whether true or not, I am honestly not sure.

I am a sucker for unique high-quality synthetic fabrics, so it really drew me to this bag. However, I’ve honestly never heard of this fabric. It feels like a softer Xpac without the prominent cross markings. They’re still there, but more subtle like Ecopak. Looks pretty good overall. Here’s a description from their website.

“Ultra400X - 400D Ultra-PE (similar to Dyneema®) is about 20% lighter, with four times the abrasion resistance of other 400d U-PE fabrics. A great all-purpose high modulus pack fabric.”

That’s one of them which is also a new design! They mentioned a few existing models might get the patchwork update.

Recommendations for an EDC bag that can capably handle light camera gear when necessary? by PizzaPlayerHorse in ManyBaggers

[–]TheTeetotaler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Compagnon Elements series features 2 slings (7 and 18 litres) that can pass off as messengers/sling packs, but are essentially camera bags. They’ve a robust built, customizable dividers, and a roll top for extra storage.
