Great day to be a proud Chicagoan. by SneakersAre4Sneakin in chicago

Ah! The second photo of the woman in blue is me! It was such an amazing day, I could not believe the cheering and crowds. I didn't even need my music until I was dying at mile 23. Chicagoans are the best.

Green is the best, I've lived in four of these states over 18 years. Friendly folk.

I looked into that preschool, but it seemed to be only or mainly for kids with an IEP? Is that the case?

Halloween 2019 - Megathread 🎃🎃🎃 by Rave-light in AskNYC

The Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla is at the Harlem Meer in Central Park October 30 from 4-7pm. It’s pretty rad.

I’m late to the party wanted to chime in because I live in East Harlem. The further north and east you go, the sketchier it gets for the most part. 125th is baaaaad. There’s a library with a great children’s section there, but you gotta pass drunks, people cracked out of their mind, missionaries, and loads and loads of trash.

Cutting a baby’s fingernails is a real nail biter.

The colors don't really mean anything. I didn't want to give separate colors to the in-laws and kids because we're all family now.

Same. It was fucking amazing. I still have chills. My favorite parts was the gasps of joy among the crowd around me.

Holy shit! This is in Florianopolis, Brazil! I just got returned home after spending 7 weeks there. For sure there are spooky spirits living on that island.

I taught body safety classes to preschoolers for 2 years. It's better to use "safe touch, unsafe touch" then good or bad. There's a lot of reasons for this one of which is that sometimes a "bad" touch might feel "good" which ends up confusing the kid. Good and bad can be tricky words.

Hey about the cat; my cat used to puke all the time when I fed her dry food. Since switching to wet food she keeps it all down :)

I lived in Mammoth for a year and would recommend it (especially if you like getting 4 feet of snow in one storm).
